VECTOR SYSTEM Direct linkage version Vector system is based on our TVVPP system, which was developed with a lot of experiences. Vector system is intended for use on freestyle indoor models. Rudder vector will offer you possibilities for new maneuvers and great authority of the rudder. Of course, also a lot of fun. We tried to prepare everything for fast and easy assembly and installation to the model. This is direct linkage version of vector system. It is reccommended to use two separated servos, one for rudder and other for vector control. This version offers you a lot of possibilites with mixing on your transmitter. KIT CONTENT: BAG 1 - main CFK motor mount, 4X D2 screws, 80cm kevlar thread BAG 2 - 2 CFK pieces for vector control + balsa, 100mm 1mm CFK tube, 2X TREX ball links BAG 3.1 - M1,6X12 screw, plastic tube, piece of silicone tube plastic washer, 2X metal washer, 50mm 4mm CFK tube, 43mm 2mm CFK tube BAG 3.2 - M1,6X10 screw, plastic tube, 13mm 4mm CFK tube, 5mm 2mm CFK tube BAG 4 - 2X ball link, 39mm 4mm CFK tube, 47mm 1,5mm CFK tube, 40mm 1mm CFK tube BAG 5 - piece of 25gr GFK fiber 1 RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT: Vector system is designed for Axi motors (and for motors with the same mounting holes) Motor, LiPo and ESC: We recommend using Axi motors and Jeti ESCs, because we have great experiences with them and simply no problems. Great freestyle setup is Axi 2203/race, Jeti 8A Pro, Glavak 9X3.8 CFK prop and 2s350mAh LiPO. Servo: We recommend using JR DS318 servo for vector control. Do not use weaker servo because the gears can broke very fast. Other things you need to finish the TVVPP sytsem: Sanding paper, CA glue with activator, 5min epoxy or Beli-Zell glue, sharp knife, thin light wires recommended ASSEMBLY BAG 1 1. Cut the bridges of main CFK motor mount and sand them with sand paper (photos are showing TVVPP motor mount) 2 BAG 2 2. Install Trex ball link to the small CFK piece. Secure nut with a drop of CA. Then glue balsa piece to it (there is a slot for nut on one side). On the other side glue the other small CFK piece and glue the whole unit to the back side of main CFK motor mount. 3. If you will use JR DS318 for vector, use the longest servo arm and the last hole. Drill 1,5mm hole and install Trex ball link. Secure nut with a little CA. 100mm 1mm CFK tube inside the bag is for linkage from vector servo to vector arm. BAG 3.1 1. Sand edges of tubes with sanding paper, if they are not flat. 2. Screw the screw to the plastic tube and put it together with 2mm tube inside 4mm tube and glue with CA. 3 3. Washers and silicone tube are for precise setting of vertical angle of the motor. You will determine this angle during the first flights. BAG 3.2 1. Use the same proceedure than with BAG 3.1 BAG 4 1. Put 1,5mm tube inside ball link and other end of 1,5mm tube inside 4mm tube. There is some slop, so you should install 1mm tube from the back and glue everything with CA. 4 PREPARATION OF EQUIPMENT 1. It is reccommended to use thin wires to save some weight. You can also unstrip the ESC. 2. It is very important that you secure the wires of the motor. Because of vector control they can move and this can make some damage and motor stops to work. It is good to glue them to motor housing with BeliZell or 5min epoxy. ASSEMBLY OF THE SYSTEM 1. Glue the parts from bag 4 (only 1X ball link) and 3.2 like on the picture with CA, Beli-Zell or epoxy. It is important that upper ball link is vertical and that the plastic tube from 3.2 is pointing downwards. 5 2. You should sand the parts which will be glued. 3. Install the motor to the main CFK plate with 3 or 4 D2 self-tapping screws. You should secure them with a little CA. It is important that wires for the motor goes in the direction like on the picture. (It is also possible to mount the motor backwards. In this case you need to glue CFK pieces and balsa for vector control on the other side) 4. Take your time and secure everything with kevlar thread, which you glue with CA. 5. Screw the tubes to the system. On the upper tube use half of washers and silicone tube, so you will be able to set the vertical angle. 6 INSTALLING THE SYSTEM TO THE MODEL 1. Measure the distances precise, to glue the tubes to the model correctly. When you will screw the system it should have completely vertical angle and it should allow you to change the angle to both directions. This is very important. (Picture shows TVVPP sytsem) 2. Install the tubes to the fuselage and glue with CA. Put the glass-fiber from BAG 5 and glue it with CA. 3. Screw the system to the fuselage and make all needed slots to allow free movement of the unit. Connect vector servo with the unit and glue with CA. It is reccommended to secure this joints also with kevlar thread. (Picture shows TVVPP system) 7 4. ESC should be installed firmly to the model, so it cannot move when the vector moves. Wires should be long enough to provide free movement. It is also very important that you reinforce the nose of the model very good. (Picture shows TVVPP system) SETTING THE SYSTEM 1. SETTING THE HORIZONTAL ANGLE OF THE SYSTEM WITH VECTOR SERVO; We recommend to use a little right thrust. You should provide free movement of vector control and limit the end points if necessary. The system allows you approx. 35 degree vector movement on each side. It is reccommended to take some time for making good mix on your transmitter (master: rudder, slave: vector), with very smooth or zero movement of vector on a low throws of rudder, so vector will not influence the precise maneuvers of your freestyle model 4. SETTING THE VERTICAL ANGLE OF THE SYSTEM; Correct thrust should be determined during the first flights (Picture shows TVVPP sytsem) Thank You for choosing our TVVPP systems and we wish you a lot of good flights with it. 8
