district or corporate facilities, Westco BAS (Building Automation Systems) will provide an easy and
secure path to become BAS certified and experienced.
Q)- How much does it cost to obtain a Westco BAS dealership?
A)- Westco charges a (1) time fee of $4,995.00… this price includes (1) training, multiple levels of
product support and access to the Westco BAS network.
Dealership access includes … LON, BACnet, valves, actuators, peripheral devices and related software.

Q)- What type of a return on the dealership investment can we expect?
A)- Example – (BAS costs only)
A New Building in the U.S.A. with… (100) VAV’s, (2) 50-Ton, DX, natural gas RTU’s, and (1) Westco
DEC type - PC Workstation-Web enabled for the client.
1. Using an independent temperature control contractor to install the BAS, you will pay:
• VAV installed - $1,500 each x 100 = $150,000.00
• PC Workstation - $4,300 each x 1 = $4,300.00 (Non Tridium PC-OWS)
• Self-contained RTUs w/BACnet card - $3,700 each x 2 = $7,400.00
• Total Mechanical Contractor’s Cost… From A BAS Contractor = $161,700.00
2. Installing your own line of controls as a Westco BAS Dealer, your costs are:
• VAV controllers & RS - $255.00 each x 100 = $25,500.00
• PC Workstation - $2,800 each x 1 = $2,800.00 - (Non Tridium PC-OWS)
• Self-contained RTUs w/BACnet card - $1,500 each x 2 = $3,000.00
• Westco Startup Labor, Travel, Programming and TC Drawings/Submittals - $9,500.00
(After your 1st project, you will understand BAS and can reduce the Westco costs)
• Your labor (450 hrs.) @ $45.00/hr. = $20,250.00
• Your wire / conduit cost = $2,400.00
• Your Total Installed Cost = $63,450.00 – (Your Savings = $98,250.00!)
Q)- Our budget will not allow for a fulltime web developer, programmer and installer to be on staff. We
prefer to sub-contract this type of work out to others.
A)- Westco BAS provides reasonable rates for phone and/or www support to keep your overhead low.
