Since May 2013 the IT function at ARCADIS has been reorganized into a Global IT organization with some 350 staff structured around business enhancing functions of Business Applications, IT Infrastructure, Business Enablement, IT Program Management and Client Facing IT managed by Regional CIOs. In moving to a Global IT organization, ARCADIS aims to achieve the following key objectives: • Enhance the value contribution of IT by delivering “best practices” in business process management; • Improving quality by sharing and standardizing IT best practices, deepening the knowledge pool of and gaining better leverage on IT talent, driving better service levels and improving regional and local support; • Reducing cost by reducing application diversity, allocating spend more effectively and leveraging economies of scale; • Supporting the ARCADIS business strategic direction, enabling and supporting cross-OpCo/regional initiatives through global process excellence and project portfolio management; ARCADIS has embarked on a multi-year transformational project aiming to implement a harmonized way of working across all ARCADIS operating companies supported by a new single global ERP solution. As part of the global office of the CIO, ARCADIS is now looking for a Project Manager responsible to deliver the Business Blueprint Project. Reporting to: The role reports to the Global CIO, who is a member of the Senior Management Committee of ARCADIS and for the duration of the Business Blueprint Project, the role reports to the project steering committee. Location: The role will be based out of the ARCADIS corporate headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. ARCADIS is a global organization and considering the global nature of the Business Blueprint project, the role will require significant travel. Role: ARCADIS has identified the following key focus areas for the role: • • • • • • • Lead the Business Blueprint Project; Responsible for executing the project according to agreed scope, quality, budget and timelines; Ensure effective collaboration between the all parties involved (system integrator, software vendor, infrastructure provider, project work streams, internal stakeholders); Successful build of the global ERP template; Successful implementation of the global ERP solution (NA, SA, LATAM, ASIA, UK, ME) and harmonized way of working; Manage key relationships with ARCADIS business stakeholders and sponsors of the project; Manage project awareness and involvement of ARCADIS management on a continuous basis; 1 • • • Requirements: Translate project impact and consequences into business change requirements and prerequisites; Drive decision making by the BBP steering committee; Ensures integration of personal development goals into the project organisation and sets the structure for regular evaluation Pro-actively manages dependences with other business or IT driven initiatives within ARCADIS. The candidate has a Master’s Degree with background and experience in Project Management and ERP implementation in an international setting. A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing complex transformational change programs enabled by standard IT solutions. Whilst Engineering and Construction industry experience is not essential, previous relevant experience of working within an international and complex professional services (Consultancy or Corporate) or related business, and providing high quality business improvements service across multiple business lines will be critical. Required experience and competences for this role: • • • • • Strong Project Leader with operational focus; Able to make firm decisions and manage different point of view within the project scope; Effective communicator, coach and influencer; Understanding of ERP solutions, in particular Oracle stack technology; Able to align global and local dependencies.
