Media Markt launches World Cup betting competition:
Bet on the right teams for the final? Then receive a
refund totaling the value of your purchases!
Ingolstadt, 05.06.2014: Will Germany reach the final? Or maybe
the host, Brazil? Or maybe even the two competing against each
other? Bets about which national teams will meet in the final
game are piling up with just a few days to go before the official
start of the World Cup. Media Markt Germany is also doing its
part up to heat up the mood and is calling on customers to
participate in its World Cup betting competition, which is being
held from Friday, 6 June 2014, until Wednesday, 11 June 2014.
Every customer who bets on the right two teams for the final will
receive a refund totaling the value of their purchases in the form
of a Media Markt gift card. The promotion is valid for purchases
made at local Media Markt stores and in Media Markt's online
shop.
Spain versus Portugal, Italy versus France or the much longed-for
final game Germany versus Brazil? 32 national teams are
participating in this year's World Cup in the hope that they will make
their dream of a Samba 2014 fairy tale come true. But a dream can
also come true for Media Markt customers. Germany's largest
consumer electronics retailer is now calling on its customers to
participate in its big World Cup betting competition. The rules are
simple: During the promotion, all a customer has to do when paying
for their purchases at the cash desk or in Media Markt's online shop
is predict which two national teams they think will meet in the final
game being held 13 July 2014 in the Estádio do Maracanã in Rio De
Janeiro . They should then keep their sales slip or order document in
a safe place as it serves as the official betting slip. Anyone placing a

bet on the right two teams will receive a refund totaling the value of
their purchases in the form of a Media Markt gift card.
Redeem winnings from 10 July to 31 August 2014
Things will get really exciting for Media Markt customers on 10 July
2014. This is when it will be clear which two teams will be
participating in the final game of the 2014 World Cup. Anyone with
the right teams on their sales slip can then redeem their winnings.
Customers who made their purchases at their local store or who
placed their order online but picked up their goods at their local store
will receive their refund at the store in question. The refund is made in
the form of a Media Markt gift card upon presentation of the original
sales slip. Anyone who orders online and has their purchases
delivered to their home must register their sales slip online at
www.mediamarkt.de as from 10 July 2014 insofar as they bet on the
right two teams. The total value of their purchases will then also be
refunded in the form of a Media Markt gift card, which is sent as a
PDF via e-mail. Winnings must be redeemed by 31 August 2014 at
the latest.
Promotion applies to almost all products available at Media
Markt
The promotion applies to all items in stock at local stores as well as
all items available in the online shop. This does not include articles
ordered in advance at the stores or contracts with third party
providers, prepaid services, customer and after-sales services,
download shops, photographic services, books or gift cards
purchased in the stores or in the online shop.
