BEL100 THERMOSTAT
INSTALLATION MANUAL
Features:
The Calorique Bel 100 is a Programmable Room Thermostat that includes the following features: Blue backlight.
Internal sensor & 3M Remote Floor Sensor.
Infrared Remote Control (Optional).
System Description:
The Calorique Bel 100 thermostat can be operated in three different ways: Using the Internal sensor & 3M Remote Floor Sensor (air and floor temperatures).
Using the Internal sensor only (air temperature).
Using the 3M Remote Floor Sensor only (floor temperature).

Mounting:
The mounting instructions are as follows: 1. Open the main control panel by putting the screwdriver (3.5mm) into the 4 mm block along the bevel. Prize up
and open the clips.
2. Remove the wire connection.
3. Connect up the terminals as per the wiring diagram.
4. Put the connected thermostat onto the back panel in the wall and fix it with the two screws in the backing box.
5. Reconnect the cover with a 30 degree angle and then fix the two up clips.
6. Push into place the two down clips, fix the cover, and finish the installation.
Choose Mode Setting:
Mode 01 - Air & Floor temperature setting
With the Bel 100 thermostat turned off, press for 3 seconds.
Press the button until the small number (menu setting) in the top left hand corner is set to 09.
Use the Up/Down arrow key to change the large number (parameter setting) to 01 (default = 01).
Press to accept and proceed to the next menu.
Press
to store and exit.

Mode 01 - Air temperature only setting
The 3M Remote Floor Sensor is assumed to be disconnected for this mode of operation.

Use the Up/Down arrow key to change the large number (parameter setting) to 00.
Press to accept and proceed to the next menu.

to store and exit.
Setting the Clock:
To set the clock, follow the steps below.
With the thermostat turned on, press twice.
You are now able to set the minutes using the Up/Down keys.
Press H to accept.
You are now able to set the hours using the Up/Down keys.
Press H to accept.
You are now able to set the day of the week using the Up/Down keys.
Press F to store and exit.
Temporary Temperature Adjustment
Using the Up/Down arrow keys you can adjust the current set temperature.
On the screen, you will see SET and the new temperature display.
This temperature will be maintained until the next comfort event.
Press F to accept and exit.
RT = Current room temperature.
FT = Floor Sensor temperature.
SET = Set temperature, displayed when you are adjusting the temperature setting.
Programmed Operation:
Setting the Comfort Events
The thermostat has 4 comfort events for the weekday and 4 for the weekend.
This method of control is not to have on/off times but to allow the occupant to set varying temperatures
throughout the day.
For example:
5:00 - 21°C (Wake)
8:00 - 10°C (Go to work)
18:00 - 21°C (Return home)
20:00 - 10°C (Sleep)
If you only want to use 2 events, you should program the unused events to -.-.
You are now able to program the first comfort event for the weekday using the following steps:
To begin programming the comfort event, press once. You will see “MO – FR” displayed.
Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the time for the 1st comfort event for the weekday.
Press H to accept.
Enter the required temperature for the 1st comfort event.
Repeat for comfort events 2-4.
You will now see “Sa Su” on screen. Repeat for the comfort events for the weekend.
Press F to store and exit.
Other Features
To Display the Floor Temperature (Air & Floor and Floor only)
If under mode 01, press F key for 3 seconds to display the floor temperature.
If under mode 00, only the floor temperature is displayed.
Floor Temperature Exceeded (Air & Floor )
Provided the floor temperature limit feature has been enabled (menu setting No. 07 is 01),

The heating output will be switched
off and will be displayed if the floor temperature limit is exceeded.
Enable Keylock:
The Calorique Bell 100 thermostat has a key-lock facility.
To enable, press the F and UP arrow keys for 10 seconds. When the key-lock has been activated, you will see
on screen.
To cancel, repeat the steps above.
Changing Feature Setup:
With Calorique’s Bel 100 Thermostat turned off, press for 3 seconds.
Press the button until the small number (menu setting from 07 to 09) in the top left hand corner is set to
the required value (See Figure 1 below).
Use the Up/Down arrow key to change the large number (parameter setting) as required.
Press to accept and proceed to the next menu.

UNDER ANY SETTING MODE, IF NO BUTTON IS PRESSED FOR 30 SECONDS, THE BELL 100 THERMOSTAT WILL
EXIT THE FEATURE AND SAVE THE SETTING.
THE BACKLIGHT FEATURE WILL TURN OFF IF NO BUTTON IS PRESSED

Setting Bel 100 for use in Bathrooms and Ensuites
i.e. Thermostat Outside Bathroom
1. Switch thermostat off with power button
2. Switch thermostat back on with clock symbol by holding down for a few seconds
3. Continue pressing clock button until 09 appears in top left corner of screen
4. With arrow down button press until 00 appears on centre of screen
5. to store press power button
You have now set the thermostat to read floor temperature.
To Set Current Date and Time

Setting Bel 100 Timer Function
1. Press Clock Button Once to set your thermostat for MONDAY to FRIDAY
2. Set desired TIME using up and down arrow keys for first ON setting (1)
3. Press H and use up and down arrow keys to set TEMPERATURE for first ON setting in top left of screen
(Recommended Floor Temperature 280 C)
4. Press H and use up and down arrow keys to set Time for first OFF setting (2)
5. Press H and use up and down arrow keys to set TEMPERATURE for first OFF setting in top left of screen
(Recommended Floor Temperature 190 C)
6. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as above for Second On Setting (3)
7. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as above for Second OFF Setting (4)
8. Press H to set your thermostat for Weekend
9. Repeat steps 2 to 7 for Weekend settings
10. Press F to save all settings
Option for BOOSTING temperature
1. Press Arrow Up key and set to desired boost temperature
2. Press H to store – Heating _ symbol and current temperature will appear and floor will heat to new SET
temperature
3. Please NOTE – that at next time setting thermostat will revert to timer settings

1. Switch thermostat off with power button
2. Switch thermostat back on with clock symbol by holding down for a few seconds

6. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as above for Second On Setting (3)
7. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as above for Second OFF Setting (4)
8. Press H to set your thermostat for Weekend
9. Repeat steps 2 to 7 for Weekend settings
10. Press F to save all settings
Option for BOOSTING temperature
1. Press Arrow Up key and set to desired boost temperature
