David Haught ACI, MIES EP has been
performing home inspections since 1996, after receiving his inspection training from Mike Casey at ITA. He is
a retired licensed electrician and master plumber. Dave
has served as an Ohio Chapter of ASHI officer and is
currently serving on the chapter board of directors. He
has also served ASHI at the national committee level,
having chaired the Chapter Relations Committee and is
currently chairing the Public Relations Committee.
Dan Huber is President and CEO of the Inspec-
tion Support Network. He founded Home Pride Inspections in Las Vegas NV and performed or managed over
30,000 inspections from 1997 to 2012. Dan was also a
real estate agent and broker for over 25 years and sold
in excess of $150 million in real estate in the Las Vegas
market. He is a featured speaker and trainer for inspection companies, corporations, NAHI, ASHI, CREIA and
others; on topics ranging from business management
for inspectors, prospecting/marketing and “Best Practices.” Dan is also a coach for many of the most successful inspection companies in the nation. His no nonsense,
real world approach to our inspection industry makes
this a “don’t miss presentation.”
P. Nathan Thornberry is President of the
Inspector Services Group, devoted to serving the home
inspection industry. The Inspector Services Group is involved in over 10% of all home inspections throughout
the U.S. and Canada through products and services like
RecallChek, 90-Day Warranties, the Alarm Leads Program, and over 30 other value-added products for home
inspection business owners.
Jeff Kortan, P.E. is a geotechnical engineer
and the Director of Engineering for Foundation Supportworks, Inc. Jeff graduated from South Dakota State
University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil
Engineering in 1993 and a Master of Science degree in
Engineering in 1995. Following graduation, Jeff worked
for seven years as a consulting geotechnical engineer
for Thelen Associates in Cincinnati, Ohio, with varied
experience in the areas of site development, landslide
stabilization and deep foundations. Jeff moved his family to Omaha, Nebraska in 2002 where he was employed
by Terracon for four years. Jeff has been involved in the
piering and anchoring industry since January 2006 and
was hired in March 2008 as Director of Engineering for
Foundation Supportworks. Jeff is a licensed professional engineer in Ohio, Nebraska, Iowa, and Florida and
a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers
(ASCE) and the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI).
