CIRCULAR
Sub:
Rules and Regulations for admission to Class IX in BSP Senior Secondary
School, Sector-10 (SSS-10), Bhilai in the Academic Session 2014-2015.
1. Students who shall be passing out Class VIII from BSP English Medium Middle Schools
(EMMSs) and non-BSP English Medium Schools (as per Clauses 3, 4, and 5 below) in the
academic session 2013-14 are eligible to apply for admission in Class IX in SSS-10, for a
minimum of 360 seats, with the following subjects:

English, Sciences, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Sanskrit or Hindi
Note: The actual no. of seats will be notified at the time of publication of the Merit List.
2. The admission, as per clause 3a and 3b below, shall be made on the basis of Merit in the
TenQuesT (TQT-2014) to be conducted, on Sunday, 9th February 2014, for all eligible
students as per clause 1 above who apply for admission in SSS-10 by the notified date. The
Examination Specification and detailed Brochure is enclosed with this notification.
3. The total number of 345 out of the 360 selected students would be notified in the form of the
following two selection lists:
a. 275 students (BSP wards) of BSP EMMSs including 5 seats for Mines (Parents posted
in BSP Mines / Students passing Class VIII from Mines Schools); and
b. Maximum 70 non-BSP wards of BSP EMMSs.
4. The selections lists at 3a and 3b above shall include pro-rata, following special category
admissions:
a. One seat for Physically Challenged candidate, subject to possession of a valid
certificate from competent authority;
b. Three Seats under Sports Category – student having, won a medal in national level
sports championship / trophy in sports / games conducted by federations / associations
affiliated to Sports Authority of India and National School Games Federation; and
c. Three seats for Cultural Activities – student having won a medal in any National Level
Cultural / Fine Arts competition or recipient of any National Level Scholarship.
For the categories under clause 4a, 4b & 4c, a relaxation of 5 marks shall be given in the cutoff marks of the first Merit List of TQT-2014, as applicable to the selection category 4a, 4b & 4c.
5. In addition to the above, 15 students from non-BSP English-Medium schools will be granted
admission based on their rank in TQT-2014 Merit List.
6. Those who fail to register or apply by the notified date(s) shall have no claim for admission.

7. Management reserves the right to alter, amend, withdraw or substitute the policy as per need
and circumstances.
8. In the event of any doubts regarding interpretation of clauses of the Admission Rules and
Regulations, the decision of GM (TAD) shall be final and binding.
