BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEETING AGENDA
6 Feb & 27 Feb 2014
-Some articles in upcoming issue will challenge the field and ask for feedback from
membership. Hope is to publish by 1 March.
-Always are looking for submissions as well as suggestions for topics that should be
covered - Leadership, Mentorship, Mishap Investigation, etc.
-Possible animal-oriented issue in the works
19. OLD BUSINESS:
1. Update on transition to PayPal for all membership and merchandise transactions.
Lt Col Matthews recommended that all payments for SoUSAFFS memberships
and merchandise be accepted only via PayPal. Recommendation is that cash and
checks no longer be accepted in the hope that utilizing PayPal will improve
tracking of transactions and limit access to SoUSAFFS funds to the Treasurer.
(POC: LtCol Matthews)
2. Update on transition to digital format for future SOUSAFFS printed merchandise
(Flight Surgeon Checklists and Mishap Guides). Inventory of SoUSAFFS
printed merchandise is extremely low. Recommendation is that all future
publications be produced only in digital format and transmitted to members
electronically in order to reduce cost, eliminate shipping, allow for more frequent
updates, and increase distribution. (POC: Maj Miller)
3. Call for 2014 SoUSAFFS Business Luncheon at AsMA. Members are to submit
nomination to Lt Col MacSparran.
4. Should SoUSAFFS continue to sponsor Julian E. Ward Memorial Award.
5. Should SoUSAFFS continue its sponsorship of the AsMA Digital Meeting App.

SoUSAFFS members. Would need to be accomplished in 4-6 weeks. Discussion
regarding use of Official AF Survey Office. Recommended to aggressively
proceed with approval through official AF channels.
