Text or email scoresheets to Steve Schick at
209-8926 or [email protected].
Steve is not shooting tonight so critical to
text him the scoresheet or your scores will
not be entered until next week.
I want to acknowledge our new players and
commend them for sticking with it so far! I
know it gets challenging on the tables when
your competition has more experience but
you are learning and hopefully still having
fun! Zach, Shaylyn, Samson, Buddy, Jim,
Brody, Zoey, Russ, and anyone I missed.
Thank you all!
Sorry, Steve and I have not been able to
connect on figuring out the handicap. With a
bye this week, we will get together tonight
and work through it. When I was quickly
looking through it, with adjustments to
actual averages for past matches, I see at
least 7 matches that may change win/loss
results. Stay tuned!
I tweaked the format of the newsletter to try
to keep to 2 pages. Let me know what you all
think. Does the newsletter add to the
league? Do you want to see it continue?

WILLIE’S CORNER
Week 7: This Week’s Matches and Willie’s Picks
Willie was 4 and 0 on the picks for week 6 and is 11 and 1 on the year.
4 Tlingits & Pretty Fly 4 a White Guy vs. Lucky Shots
Pretty Fly is clicking again and Lucky Shots had a tough matchup last
week. Pretty Fly 130 to Lucky Shots 110. Handicap will make it close.
The Expendables vs. The Leftovers
The Expendables got their first win last week and are looking to keep a
streak going. The Leftovers as a new team have been doing very well. Close match
but The Expendables get it pulling away late 120-107.
Failed Geometry vs. Wolfpack
Failed Geometry had a tough loss last week and Wolfpack will be on the
hunt smelling blood. Wolfpack 115 to 111.
Off Constantly vs. FNG’s
FNG’s are on a 2 game win streak! Handicap will play a factor and FNG’s will just need to score points and not worry about the wins. 140-137
for FNG’s with handicap figured in!
ROUNDUP – WEEK 6
FNG’s (111 scratch 123 handicap) vs. Failed Geometry (120)
Willie said: This will be a good matchup and fun to watch! FNG’s will sneak out a match win 115 to 113.
Sneak out a win they did – FNG’s lost scratch score but handicap gave them the win. FNG’s won the first 2 games of the match including a 10-2 win by
nd
Josh Schuon. Failed Geometry won the next 3 games and the match was tied at 39 after round 1. The teams alternated wins in the 2 round. Failed
nd
st
Geometry led the 2 round 41-34 led by a 10-4 win by Rex Sage and a 10-3 win by Lockanne Keyes. Failed Geometry won the 1 2 games of the final
round and built a 16 point scratch lead. Wes Roggencamp won 10-7 and Russ Bullock won 10-3 to cut the lead to 6 points with 1 game remaining.
Ryan Isturis got the 10-7 win for Failed Geometry to wrap up the match with a 120-111 scratch win for Failed Geometry. The handicap was 4 points a
round for FNG’s (which will change once the new shooter Hanna Davis’ average is included). Hanna shot a 18 (which is 6 average) which added should
change the handicap in favor of Failed Geometry. Lockanne led all shooters with a 30. Josh led FNG’s with a 27.
Wolfpack (110) vs. The Expendables (117 scratch-150 handicap)
Willie said: The Expendables show winless on the year but that is hard to believe with the talent on the team. But they are in another tough matchup
with the Wolfpack. The Expendables 118 to 109 win.
Willie called it – only 1 off each score. Ed Ferrer started the match with a 10-3 win for the Wolfpack. Ora Pryor had a 10-5 win for The Expendables.
Nieko Isturis and Alex Souza won the next 2 for the Wolfpack before Al Villanueva closed out the round with an Expendables win. Wolfpack led 42 to
34 after round 1. Wolfpack won 3 of 5 in the second round to win the round 40 to 33. Wolfpack led by 15 after 2 rounds. Jesse Hull, super sub, won 103 to start the final round for The Expendables and cut the lead to 8. Alex FTS (need last name guys!) won 10-6 for The Expendables to cut the lead to
4. A great comeback in the making! Al V won 10-7 and the lead was cut to 1! Getting closer! Ora Pryor won 10-6 to complete the comeback and The
Expendables took their first lead of the night in game 14! With a 3 point lead, it came down to the final game. Al Taug finished it up with a 10-6 win to
give the Expendables the match win. Al V and Ora led The Expendables with 30’s. Nieko led Wolfpack with a 27.
Leftovers (82 scratch 119 handicap) vs. 4 Tlingits & Pretty Fly 4 a White Guy (133)
Willie said: Both teams have 2 wins but Pretty Fly has one more loss than Leftovers. Leftovers will compete but Pretty Fly wins going away 126 to 96.
nd
Jim Thayer spoiled Pretty Fly’s sweep of the first round with a 10-5 win. Pretty Fly won 3 more in 2 round including a 10-0 win by Randal Jim. Four
more wins in the final round sealed it for Pretty Fly. Randal had the only 30 for Pretty Fly. Jim Thayer got his first 30 of the year to lead the Leftovers.
Lucky Shots (86 scratch 113 handicap) vs. Black-n-Gold (133)
Willie said: There are some winning streaks on the line here. Matt Schimming has an active 10 game winning streak; Joe Jensen has 8 games going
and Mark Rackley has 8 games in a row. Someone is going to lose! Black-n-Gold win 125 to 103.
Mark kept his streak going with a 10-6 win. Matt shot next and played a great game and shot the 8 in. He went to shake his opponents hand who
casually pointed to the table…whoops, Matt left a ball on the table and broke his consecutive win streak…ouch…!  BnG led 41 to 37 after round 1.
nd
BnG won 3 more in the 2 round and swept the final round to win 133 to 113. Mark got a 30 to build his win streak to 11 games and Ken Southerland
got a 30 as well to lead BnG. Joe Jensen led Lucky Shots with a 21.
