II.
TEST OBJECTIVES
This report aims to provide the comparative energy performance of Incandescent, CFL and LED lights.
III.
TEST METHOD
Samples were tested using energy consumption monitoring.
IV.
GENERAL TEST CONDITIONS
a. Test Environment
No specific environmental condition for the test. Ambient conditions are not controlled and are just
noted for record purposes.
b. Power Supply
Power supplied on the measuring instrument and test units was regulated and maintained at 230 Volts
AC ±2%.
c. Measuring Instruments
Electrical parameters (voltage, current, power) were measured using Power Quality Analyzer (PQA) LEM
Memobox 300.

Where:
(a) Energy consumed by the light for 1 hour.
(b) Cost per hour computed using the formula: Cost per hour = (a) x Electricity Rate1
(c) Cost per day computed using the formula : Cost per day = (b) x no. of hours/day2
(d) Cost per month computed using the formula : Cost per month = (d) x 30 days
(e) Percent savings by using LED or CFL vs. IL, computed using the formula (%) = (Cost per month IL – Cost per month
LED/CFL) / Cost per month IL x 100%
(f) Savings per month by using LED of CFL vs. IL, computed using the formula (PhP/mo) = Cost per month IL – Cost per
month LED or CFL
