DESCRIPTION
CRMX™ Acid Blocker is a micro-film forming,
chemical cross-link hybrid, inorganic/organic surface
treatment that hardens and seals concrete floors and
delays etching concrete surfaces due to spills that
contain highly acid properties. It produces a high
performance ultra-hard watertight and dust-repellant
surface that is chemically resistant. CRMX™ Acid
Blocker is the step 3 chemical in the CRMX™ 3
Step Concrete Polishing System and is the supreme
coating system for harsh and high abuse commercial
and industrial floors when an extra layer of protection
is required to significantly reduce surface etching. It is
the optimal choice if floors are exposed to high
consumer traffic, large equipment, chemicals, or
abrasion. This low VOC treatment has high durability
and bond strength and the ability to withstand heavy
traffic, abrasion and chemical spills. CRMX™ Acid
Blocker is an industrial grade treatment that is easy to
apply, cures rapidly, and provides a beautiful clear
glossy finish. It is ideal for facilities that require
maximum protection and little or no downtime.
CRMX™ Acid Blocker is a unique treatment that is
extremely low in VOC’s (less than 50 gram per liter),
environmentally friendly and has a very low
polymer/ammonia odor. It is the perfect choice to
protect interior concrete floors in any kind of
manufacturing facility, warehouses, food service
operations, and parking decks. CRMX™ Acid
Blocker will leave concrete significantly harder, stain
resistant, easy to maintain, and provide a 60%
increase in light reflectivity than untreated concrete
surfaces. CRMX™ Acid Blocker does not decrease
the coefficient of friction on surfaces.
USES
CRMX™ Acid Blocker is recommended for use
whenever and wherever new concrete is placed for
maximum hardness and durability
whenever semi-gloss and high-gloss concrete
finishes are desired. Substrates treated with
CRMX™ Acid Blocker will produce densified,
hardened, dustproofed, and improved abrasion
resistant surfaces when required. Ideal applications
include floors in industrial plants and warehouses,
agricultural facilities, water treatment plants,
chemical processing facilities, oil refineries,
hospitals and airports.

CRMX™ Acid Blocker can be applied and
burnished to a high sheen the day after placement. A highspeed burnisher (2000-2200 rpm) with medium to coarse
maintenance pad is needed. Diamond impregnated pads are
not necessary and will not increase levels of reflectivity.

Immediately wash off over-spray from glass, aluminum, or
highly polished surfaces with water to avoid etching of
surfaces.
Drying Time: 10 – 15 minutes. CRMX™ Acid Blocker will
immediately increase surface abrasion resistance. Product
does not cause over accelerated reaction or negative
workability features. Drying times will be determined by area
of placement, ground temperature, air temperature, humidity,
exposure to direct sun and design mix characteristics for its
particular application. CRMX™ Acid Blocker will not impede
or create incompatibility with special concrete design mixes.
SHELF LIFE (TYPICAL)
APPLICATION
Product Delivery: Fresh Concrete: On newly placed
concrete, CRMX™ Acid Blocker is designed to be applied
day after placement when surface of the slab is dry enough
to accept foot traffic without leaving foot prints.
For optimum results, CRMX™ Acid Blocker should be applied
as step 3 (final step) of the CRMX™ 3 Step Concrete
Polishing System at a rate of 1,000 ft.2 per gallon.
The active ingredients will chemically/mechanically crosslink into the surface of the concrete and provide an increase in
densification and abrasion resistance. Follow with CRMX™
Polished Concrete Floor Cleaner at described application
rates for optimum results.
Mixing
No Mixing is Required
CLEANUP
While still wet, equipment may be cleaned quickly and
easily with soap and water.
PRECAUTIONS
DO NOT DILUTE. Do not apply if the temperature of the
concrete is less than 38˚ F (3˚ C) or above 165˚ F (74˚ C).
KEEP FROM FREEZING. If frozen, product should be
discarded and disposed of in approved waste receptacle.
HEALTH HAZARDS
CRMX™ Acid Blocker is non-combustible. (Flash point is
>210˚ F.) Direct contact will result in irritation of the skin and
eyes. Inhalation of product mist may result in respiratory
