Your child, as a part of Grafton Public School Dance Ensemble, has been selected to perform at the Public Schools NSW Central Network Dance Festival. The dance festival will be held at Coffs Ex-Services Club (CEX) on Thursday 19th June, 2014 from 7pm- 9.30pm. On this same day a rehearsal will be held from 1.45pm. All students will travel to Coffs Harbour by Jaca City Coaches and car, if required, at 12pm and have the opportunity to return to Grafton by bus by @ 10.45pm. The coach travel will cost $7.50, (which includes a $2.50 discount due to no dance lesson in week 6). Hair and foundation will need to be as per the eisteddfod, high pony tail with double banding. As the day is long, I am asking that you send your child’s foundation with them for re-application. Costuming will be as per the Eisteddfod and all costuming will need to be at school by Wednesday 11th June. If you are attending the Dance festival please ensure that you purchase your tickets, as per the leaflet previously sent. Also, indicate below if your child will be transported home by you at the conclusion of the night. Schedule for Thursday 19th June 8.45am-10.50am- Class time 10.50-11.15am- Recess 11.15-12pm- Dress in costume and make- up applied 12pm- Catch bus to Coffs Harbour 1.45pm-2.30pm Rehearsal at CEX 3pm-5pm Early dinner at Coffs City Centre food outlets Approx. $10 required or send a packed dinner 5.15pm- 6.15pm Finale rehearsal at CEX 6.15pm- Re-apply make-up and fix hair. All students held in dressing room until performances and Finale 9.30pm- Conclusion of the night and transport home @10.45pm- Bus arrives for students to be picked up from Grafton Public School. Medical Insurance: Parents please note there is no personal injury insurance cover provided by the NSW Department of Education and Training for students in relation to school sporting activities, physical education lessons or any other school activity.
