Product Name: Saliguard EHG INCI Name: Ethylhexylglycerin Chemical Name: 3-(2-Ethylhexyloxy)propane-1,2-diol CAS Number: 70445-33-9 Description • It serves not only as a preservative, but also as preservant enhancer and as a surfactant. • Provides a soft and smooth skin feel due to its effective emollient property. • It inhibits the growth and multiplication of odor causing gram positive bacteria. • Enhances the antimicrobial efficacy of a product when combined with traditional preservatives and other cosmetic ingredients. • SALIGUARD® EHG is effective in pH-ranges from 2 to 12. • Should be incorporated into the oil phase of the formulation or at the end of the manufacturing process. • Dosage: 0.3% to 1.0%. • Shelf life of Saliguard® EHG is 3 years. Applications ® • SALIGUARD EHG can easily be incorporated into all type of formulations as it is compatible with several cosmetic ingredients. • The product is resistant upto high temperatures of 120˚C. • As it is effective against odor causing gram positive bacteria, SALIGUARD® EHG can be used in deodorants. • Due to its skin conditioning and emollient properties, SALIGUARD® EHG is very effective in moisturizing creams & lotions. • SALIGUARD® EHG can be widely used in leave-on and rinse-off applications. • Uses of level up to 0.3 – 1.0 %.
