Clinicians whose only experience is antepartum patient care, antepartum fetal heart assessment or limited intrapartum care may need additional didactic and /or clinical experience to gain the required knowledge. RN must pass written test and skills stations to earn skills validation. Content includes: 2008 NICHD Categories I, II and III. Case scenarios incorporated into the content give the experienced RN some opportunity to apply the categories to life-like bedside care.
