This notification seeks applications from the eligible candidates for the post of Grameen Dak Sevak
Branch Postmaster to work at Kandni Branch Post office (Kishtwar SO) under Grameen Dak Sevak
Rules. It gives an opportunity to serve the society by providing high quality postal services that meets
the expectations of the customers. This is a significant role in the Branch Post Office with responsibility
for post office operations, mail delivery, mail carriage and related postal services. The eligibility criteria,
selection process and other details are given in Annexure A to the notification
Selection process
The selection will be done solely on merits, based on the marks obtained in the Matriculation
examination. There will be no interview for the purpose of selection. In the normal course, the merit list
will be published by the office issuing the Job notification within 14 days from the closing date.

How to apply?
To apply, please submit the attached Application Form along with the required documents and send it so
as to reach the address given below latest by the closing date. The application form must be sent only by
Registered Post or by Speed Post. The applications received by ordinary post or by hand shall be
summarily rejected. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered at all.

Annexure A to the Job notification
Eligibility criteria
The applicant shall be of 18 years of age or above but below 65 years as on last date for receipt of
applications i.e., 20.06.2014.
The applicant should have passed Matriculation Examination.
The applicant should have basic knowledge of computers i.e., at least 60 days of basic computer
training from a recognized computer training institute. The applicant will have to provide a certificate to
that effect from the computer training institute from where he has done 60 days of computer training.
Documents to be sent along with the Application
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria shall fill up the Application form given in Annexure B and
send it by Speed Post or Registered Post, latest by the last date for receipt of application forms i.e.,
20.06.2014. Along with the application form, the applicant shall send self-attested copies of the following
documents

Copy of Date of Birth Certificate
Copy of Mark Certificate of Matriculation Examination
Copy of the category certificate (i.e., ST Certificate in the enclosed Performa )
Copy of certificate from recognized computer training institute of having done atleast 60 days
of basic computer training.
Application forms received incomplete or without signatures / the copies of the required documents
will not be considered. Applications received after last date for receipt of applications i.e., 20.06.2014
shall not be considered and rejected.
