August 2, 2014. A four-course feast sourced from local farmers and foragers and an audienceengaged woodlands masquerade will be an integral part of the performance. Partnering food
producers include Lazy Eight Stock Farm, Salamander Springs, Forest Retreats and Clementines
Bakery.
!There will be a free preview “Bayou-lachian” concert featuring music, dance, food and stories from
Cry You One on Saturday, July 26 at 5 p.m. at the Old L&N Train Depot / Berea Welcome Center in
Berea, Kentucky. Local Appalachian musicians and artists will accompany the New Orleans ensemble
for a bayou-lachian mash-up where cajun meets bluegrass, fais do-do meets square dance. Gumbo
and baguettes will be served alongside soup beans and cornbread. This free public event is
presented in partnership with Alternate ROOTS and Berea Tourism and is made possible by support
from South Arts.

experience at Clear Creek are available at clearcreekcreative.net. Due to the intimate nature of the
events, tickets are limited and must be purchased online in advance. Call 606.256.0796 with any

of community members to present Cry You One at Clear Creek. Cry You One is a project of Creative
Capital and is made possible by the generous support of our local partners, stakeholders and donors,
and by the New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Theater Project, with lead funding from
The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation; by a grant from the Network of Ensemble Theater’s Touring &
Exchange Network (NET/TEN), supported by lead funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and
