Appreciation Extended To The Project Team At Drydocks World For The Recently
Completed And Installed Solan Subsea Storage Facility
Premier Oil would like to thank DDW and their team for the
successful fabrication, testing and delivery of the Solan Oil Storage
Tank (SOST).
The description of Tank belies the sophistication and complexity in
fabrication, erection, testing and outfitting of the SOST. On the face
of it what looked like a relatively straight forward project there was
many challenges imbedded in the design, function and operation
which were all made more difficult with the tight delivery schedule
that was required.
DDW rose to the occasion and overcame the many unique challenges
which would have been outside most fabricators technical scope. The
coordination of the various work types and locations, which all posed
technical and safety issues, were managed to a high level of
excellence, as is evident by the world class quality and safety record
exhibited during the Project.
As you know the Tank has now been installed successfully which is a
further endorsement of your work since this installation procedure
was not straight forward and relied heavily on the fabrication and
outfitting scope being completed to the highest spec.
Once again I would like to that the DDW Project Team for all their
hard work, perseverance and expertise that was required to deliver
this the SOST.
Robert Irvine- Project Manager from Premier Oil
Solan Felicitation Meeting

overview, construction cycle, challenges
faced, execution, achievements, lessons
