Block Working Update for the RailCorp Network –
Kiama to Bomaderry

This TOC Waiver supersedes TOC Waiver 203-217 and reinstates the mandatory block working
requirements between Kiama and Bomaderry as per previous TOC Waiver 203-211. The
mandatory block working requirement has been reinstated due to signalling issues. The block
working shall be in place until the signalling issues are resolved. Contact Mark Albrecht

This TOC Waiver updates the block working requirements for all classes of light locomotive,
single unit diesel car, and diesel multiple unit trains (DMU) operating on the Illawarra between
Kiama and Bomaderry.
A waiver to the conditions as published in the ASA Train Operating Conditions Manual is issued
for the block working operating requirements on the Illawarra Line.
Conditions shall be as follows:
1. Block working of all classes of light locomotives, diesel multiple unit trains (DMU), and
single unit diesel cars shall be as per section 2.15, 2.16, and 2.17 in the TOC Manual.

2. In addition to item 1, block working between Kiama and Bomaderry in the UP and DOWN
direction shall be in place for all classes of light locomotive, diesel multiple unit trains
(DMU), and single unit diesel cars. The applicable block working section is as follows:
From Kiama Signal 45.25 (119.292 km) or Signal 45.27 (119.929 km)
Up to Bomaderry Signal BY5 (152.995 km) Inclusive
3. Yard working at Kiama is permitted under track signalling up to the Limit of Shunt boards.
