Conversions should be stopped
immediately: Singhal
BHOPAL, Feb 22:
Vishwa Hindu Parishad convenor Ashok Singhal said here today
that unless conversions were stopped immediately, the day would not
be far off when Hindus would be reduced to a minority in this country.
Addressing a press conference, he said it has become "imperative"
for each Hindu couple to have five children each.
The VHP convenor heaped praise on BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi and attacked Congress President Sonia Gandhi
over a number of things.
Singhal said the VHP has nothing to do with the BJP but maintained that it would certainly support Modi in the next Lok Sabha elections.(PTI)

Police today foiled the protest
march of casual labourers and
daily wagers of Public Health
Engineering
(PHE)
Department and detained
scores of them.
They were protesting
against the Government's failure to address their demands
of regularization, release of
wages on monthly basis. The
protesting employees were
shouting slogans in support of
their demands.

Expressing deep concern over
the inordinate delay in issuance
of regularization orders of left
over 180 daily wagers of Rural
Development
Department
(RDD), Subash Shastri, president,
National
Mazdoor
Conference
(NMC)
has
appealed the Chief Minister
and Minister for Rural
Development and Panchayati
Raj to personally intervene in
to matter for ordering their
regularization before the
model code of conduct in view
of Lok Sabha elections.
In two separate memoranda to Omar Abdullah and Ali
Mohammad Sagar, Shastri
pointed out that the Planning
Department having sanctioned 180 posts way back in
2009 to regularized as many
daily wagers of the Rural
Department
who
were
engaged before 1994 falls
under SRO 64, but despite
that file is still pending for
their regularization since
then.
Shastri expressed his dismay that no definite policy is
being followed as far as regularization of daily wager is
concerned.

Parray said that despite working as daily wagers for the
department from more than
last 15 years, the Government
has failed to regularize them.
"We have become the victims
of Coalition Government but
we will not stop fighting for
our genuine rights till promises made with us are fulfilled",
Parray said.

Government has promised that
all the daily wagers and casual
labours engaged from 1994 to
2005 in PHE would be
engaged and those engaged
2005 onwards (both paid and
unpaid), confirmed as daily
rated workers and monthly
salary will be given to them,
but no such step was taken by
Government. Parray also said
the Government has failed to
fulfill their promise of releasing the wages.
The protest call was given
by Kashmir PHE Joint
Employees Association in support of its demands for regularization of daily wage workers, casual labourers and needbased workers.
Keeping in view that the
elections are near in the state,
these employees have decided
launch a door to door campaign and expose the politicians of their false promises
when they were in power. "We
will teach these politicians a
lesson who deceived us and
played with our sentiments,"
they said.
CJM issues orders
for registration of
FIR in land grabbing

Samba has issued directives to
Ramgarh Police to register FIR
against two land grabbers
Kamal Singh and Rama Kant
who have grabbed one and a
half kanal of land belonging to
Sushma Devi and Swarana
Devi.
The court issued directives
to police on the basis of the
compliant filed by the two
ladies.
The Ramgarh Police has
registered FIR No 114/2014
under Section 457/323 against
the duo and started investigation. When contacted SDPO
Vijaypur, S S Samyal said that
law will take its course and no
one will be spared. He said
Police will make full investigation of the case and not spare
any body who will be behind
the land grabbing how influential politically he may be or how
important post he may be holding.
