What is Quinn?
QUestion INformation Navigator
Quinn is the new VCCS Decision Support System (DSS) tool that offers customizable access to
specific information needed to develop questions and make decisions, inform your
stakeholders, and navigate through possible scenarios. The goal of Quinn is to build a decisionmaking process founded on historical data. Comprised of 3 tools- Dashboards, ProClarity
Standard, and ProClarity Professional- it is designed to provide information to data users
ranging from technical novice to expert. The data is self-service, relevant, timely, aggregated
and computed.
Exactly how does Quinn assist with the decision-making
process?
Through self- service and customizable reports, Quinn supports the evaluation of choices and
the evaluation of outcomes in the decision-making process. Click here to see sample questions

Why should I use it?
Using a DSS tool, such as Quinn, supplements managerial judgment, intuition, and experience
leading to faster decisions, reduced cost, improved results, and increased productivity. Quinn
opens access to data across all college offices without having to rely on technical experts to
develop reports. Campus-wide use of Quinn increases the potential for collaboration and cuts
down on the silo-effect. Distribution of data through all levels of the organization creates an
integrated, holistic approach to decision-making thus encouraging a culture of evidence.
Who uses it?
Any VCCS faculty or staff member who participates in making decisions which can be enhanced
by of use of financial, student, human resource, or financial aid data.
How do I get trained on this system?
You can select from hands-on instructor led training held at various college campuses or a live
web-based training.
