The IPM-16 and IPM-16-EXT are ideal for monitoring audio and video presence in production and
transmission environments and to check that audio is in phase and within pre-determined limits for
level and loudness.
Chromatec, a leading developer of audio level metering products has released a fully-featured, inpicture audio level and video metering product as part of the NuMedia mini-converter series.
The IPM-16 supports the display of embedded audio as
vertical bar graphs superimposed on through-going video
and also provides an effective in-picture alarm system for
both audio and video errors.
The IPM-16-EXT additionally accepts up to 16 external
audio channels, as analogue or AES. Up to 8ch analogue
audio monitor outputs may be derived from any input,
embedded or external.
Up to 4 groups (16 channels) of embedded audio may be
displayed simultaneously superimposed in four groups
on the video, with the opacity of the bar graphs set
by the user.
Two EBU R128 compliant loudness meters may be
displayed, with each one allowing up to 5 channels to
contribute to the loudness level shown.

The IPM-16 and IPM-16-EXT can be configured via the USB interface using a PC running Windows OS.
All IPM-16 parameter controls are accessible via a small application running on the PC.
Each IPM-16 can store up to 4 user configurations, which can be recalled at any time by simply
adjusting the hex switch setting located at the front of each unit.
Status information is displayed on a scrolling blue OLED display located at the front of the unit.
The IPM-16 is a fully featured audio metering product with a wide range of configurable settings to
suit every house style. This brochure shows only an example of the available control screens. For
