LUTON CULTURE PRESS RELEASE
19 September 2014
Festival Favourites Dub Pistols set to Storm The Hat Factory with Party Beats
In their first visit to the Hat Factory the ever popular Dub Pistols will bring their riotous mix
of dub, ska, drum & bass, hip-hop, punk and big beat to Luton, on Friday 10 October.
The band is one of the busiest on the festival scene. Founded by Barry Ashworth in the late
‘90s, they have brought UK audiences tracks such as ‘Cyclone’, ‘Westway’ and ‘There’s
Gonna Be A Riot’ before sharing the more political ‘Six Million Ways To Live’ album in 2000.
The Dub Pistols visit Luton as part of their current UK tour, in which they have wowed
crowds with vibrant live music taken from their sixth album ‘White Lines.’
Nominated for ‘best live act’ for the The Bass Music BMA Awards 2014, they are a forceful
live act moving audiences to jump along tirelessly to their beat. Supporting their
performance in Luton is General Saint from reggae DJ duo Eastwood and Saint.
