Dr. Thomas Bley has over 20 years of professional experience in banking, which
includes working for development banks as well as commercial banks. During the
financial crisis he was a member of the project team that worked on the rescue of
Hypo Real Estate and was subsequently one of the five members of the steering
committee that oversaw the rescue mission. In 2009, he was promoted to the
Board of Managing Directors of Eurohypo – at the time Germany’s 8th largest bank
and a subsidiary of Commerzbank. Since 2014, he has been working as a
consultant in the financial industry and gives lectures on economic and
management subjects.
Dr. Minh Nguyen is the Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism at Duy Tan
University in Da Nang, Vietnam. He is one of the leading figures helping to
promote tourism in Da Nang, which is widely considered “the next Hawaii”. His
specialties lie in the fields of Economics and Hospitality Finance. He is a lecturer
for International Finance and Service Management. In Vietnam, he is known as a
frequent guest speaker for many local and national television programs about
national economic development.
Emma Berenguer is an assistant lecturer at the Department of Financial Economics and Accounting at Pablo de
Olavide University in Seville. She has taught finance for over 10 years at various prestigious Spanish universities. She
has worked as a research assistant at the San Telmo International Institute, a renowned business school in
Andalusia. Her research focuses on Term Structure Estimation and SME’s Access to Finance and Internationalization.
Prof. Thordur Vikingur Fridgeirsson is an Assistant Professor at Reykjavik University, School of Science and
Engineering. Mr. Fridgeirsson is one of the leading Icelandic experts in Project Management disciplines with research
emphasis on risk and uncertainty in the project lifecycle.
Jochen Gerber founded a business consultancy – G5-Partners, Dynamic Decision Advisory – in 2013 after having
spent several years in a leading role at a company in the energy sector. He was a member of the Management Board
of a leading consultancy firm. Throughout his career he has been active in the areas of strategy, technology and
innovation management.
Pilar Giráldez has been a lecturer in Finance at the faculty of Economics and Business at Pablo de Olavide University
in Sevilla, Spain since 2004. She has taught in the area of accounting and finance for ten years, and her current
research focuses on Securitization, Internationalization and Corporate Governance.
Prof. Dr. Laszlo Kozar is a tenured professor and Head of the Department of Commerce at Budapest Business
School, Hungary. He has 15 years’ experience in lecturing and research, based on 20 years professional experience in
the fields of the International Commodity and Exchange Business, focusing on commercial and financial aspects.
Prof. Dr. Jaroslaw Kundera is a professor at the Jean Monnet Chair of the University of Wroclaw, Poland. He is the
head of the research program on Political Economy of the EMU and the program Initiatives and Constraints in the
Mapping of Evolving European Borders. His research foci include monetary integration and structural funds.
Valentin Liebhart holds a Bachelor as well as a Master of Science from the Technical University Munich and the
University of Augsburg in Finance and Information Management. His area of expertise lies in the area of investment
management for insurance companies.
Dr. Judit Sági is an associate professor in Finance at Budapest Business School, Hungary. Her research areas include
foreign exchange rate policies, sovereign CDS spreads and risk management. Her professional background is in
auditing, with experience in the field of risk and project management.
Cecilia Téllez holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Seville, Spain. She is currently an
Associate Professor at the Department of Financial Economics and Accounting at Pablo de Olavide University in
Seville and member of a research group particularly focusing on sovereign credit risk.
Prof. Dr. Frank H. Witt is Director of the Harold Pupkewitz Graduate School of Business in Namibia and Chairman of
the Administrative Board of SCI Holding. Among his previous positions are Founding Dean of Adama University
School of Business (Ethiopia), MBA Director German University of Cairo, Dean of Karlshochschule International
University and CEO IMICS Ltd. Tokyo.
