Dual Degree Graduate Named
Partner
Dual Degree Graduate Joins
Supreme Administrative Court
Marta Colomar, a dual
degree graduate of the
University of Barcelona
and NSU Law, recently
was named partner at
Diaz, Reus, & Targ in
Miami. Marta, who
frequently appears as a
guest contributor on CNN
en Español, concentrates
on international commercial litigation and
arbitration for individuals, multinational
corporations, and sovereign governments. She
also is head of the firm’s Mexico City office.
Ondrej Kadlec, a dual
degree graduate
ofCharles UniversityPrague and NSU Law,
recently began a
clerkship for Justice
Josef Bax of the Supreme
Administrative Court of
the Czech Republic. This
prestigious internship is
the first step toward obtaining judicial and
academic positions.
Dual Degree Graduate Joins Law Firm
Adriana Barba, a dual degree graduate of NSU Law and the
University of Barcelona, recently was hired as an international
trade attorney at Amicorp’s Barcelona office. The hiring committee
was particularly impressed with Adriana's expertise in both civil
and common law. Adriana recently became a member of the
Barcelona Bar.

Dual Degree Graduates Work Together to Open Moris Law

University and NSU Law, have collaborated to
open Moris Law. Giacomo, who practices in
the areas of commercial litigation and
corporate work, with a focus on international
law and international dispute resolution, is the
founding partner of their Miami office.
Alessandro, who practices in civil litigation
and real estate law, particularly bank
foreclosures and Condo/HOA law, is the
founding partner of their Rome office.

in Private Comparative Law, has
conducted research at the Max
Planck Institute in Germany and
has published papers in several
international law journals.
Professor Andres, a Tax Law expert,
has lectured at 40 international
conferences and seminars around the
world and is the Director and
President of the Journal Revista De
Educación y Derecho.
Professor Kudrna, a
Constitutional Law expert, has
studied and lectured at law
schools throughout Europe and
currently is a senior legal
advisor to the Prime Minister
of the Czech Republic.

NSU Law Students Collaborate With Visiting Spanish Professor
to Publish Bilingual Article
During her month-long visit to NSU Law,
University of Barcelona Professor Eva Andres
collaborated with five NSU Law students to
publish a paper, both in Spanish and English,
entitled, Alternative Resolution Disputation in the
United States Across Interdisciplinary Fields of
Law: Civil Law, Tax Law, Tax Fraud, and
Immigration Law.
Dual Degree Student Obtains Scholarship
Ycnaduy “Duy” Gangi, an NSU Law graduate and current
dual degree student at Roma Tre University, recently won
a scholarship to attend the International Criminal Defense
Seminar in Turin, Italy. Duy is scheduled to finish her
Italian law degree this December.

NSU Law Set to Direct a Summer Abroad Program in Buenos Aires
NSU Law will host a summer program in Buenos Aires from June 1, 2015 to June 26, 2015. Professor
Jim Wilets will serve as the resident director of the program and teach a one-week course in
International Trade Law. Two Argentine professors, Martin Bohmer and Ignacio Péréz Córtez, will
teach Argentine Political Institutions and International Investment Litigation, respectively. Professor
Sarah Gehwig-Moore from Mercer Law will teach Exploring Argentina’s Legal Approach to Human
Rights Abuse. Our first informational meeting regarding the Argentina program and programs in
China, the Netherlands, and Spain, will take place on October 30, 2014.
