1 Participate in Career Fair
On October 23, 2013, our SEU participated in a
Career Fair hosted by Hawkeye Community
College in Waterloo, Iowa. Our Market
Manager manned a booth and spoke with
attendees about careers opportunities in
broadcasting and job openings within the
Station Employment Unit (SEU).
2 Host Career Fair
On February 27, 2014, our SEU hosted a
Career Fair at Elks Lodge in Waterloo, Iowa.
Our SEU secured the exhibit space, solicited
local employers, organized all logistical aspects
of the event and also participated as an
exhibitor. Our Market Manager manned a
booth and spoke with interested attendees about
career opportunities in broadcasting and job
openings within the SEU. This event was
promoted over the air on all SEU stations. It
was also advertised by KWWL Television.
3 Participate in Career Fair
On April 2, 2014, our SEU participated in a
Career Fair hosted by Hawkeye Community
College in Waterloo, Iowa. Our Market
Manager manned a booth and spoke with
attendees about careers opportunities in
broadcasting and job openings within the SEU.
4 Internship Program
This SEU sponsored an internship program.
During this reporting period, our SEU hosted 1
intern as follows:
Fall 2014: 1 student from Hawkeye
Community College interned for our SEU,
assisting with greeting customers and prize
winners, assisting our business office with
filing, data entry & mailings. Together with our
Promotions Assistant, they also worked on a
variety of promotional projects, including
preparation of marketing packages, and
preparations for hosting events, such as our
Career Fair.
5 Host Career Fair
On September 18, 2014, our SEU hosted a
