MARCUS THEATRES® APPOINTS VP OF CONSTRUCTION & PURCHASING; DIRECTOR OF
COMMUNICATIONS; DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS; AND CREATIVE MANAGER
Milwaukee, July 15, 2014…Marcus Theatres®, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE:MCS),
announces that Doug Pellock has been appointed vice president of construction and purchasing; Mari Randa has
joined as the director of communications; and Don Eby began as creative manager. In addition, Matt Lee has
been promoted from district director to director of operations.
With 20 years of experience, Pellock comes to Marcus from Alaska Airlines, where he was the director of real
estate, design, construction and facilities. During his time there, Pellock was instrumental in improving project
turnaround times, increasing productivity and reducing costs. Prior to that, he directed real estate and
construction efforts for United Supermarkets, a Texas-based grocery chain with stores in 31 markets.
In his role with Marcus, Pellock will be responsible for creating and maintaining construction projects and
overseeing the purchasing function for the theatre division. He is on the construction advisory board of directors
for Store Planning, Equipment, Construction Services (SPECS) and Chain Store Age and a member of the
International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

concept to project completion, will help Marcus effectively manage its growth.”

Randa, an experienced leader and communicator, joins Marcus after spending nearly four years at Palermo’s
Pizza as the marketing manager. While there, she managed the agency partners and helped lead advertising,
public relations, digital efforts and consumer outreach. In addition to corporate experience, Randa has worked
at top local agencies, driving success throughout her 20-year career. At Marcus, Randa will lead media relations
efforts, enhance internal communications and complement the growth of the marketing team.
Eby is a highly regarded marketing strategist, project manager and creative designer, bringing a dozen years of
experience to the team. Most recently, Eby was at Kohl’s, where he streamlined processes for 15 designers
ensuring consistency across more than 120 circulars annually. Prior to that, he led a website redesign for the
printing division of Briggs & Stratton and developed dealer training resources for the company. At Marcus
Theatres, Eby will serve as a creative strategist and the lead brand ambassador.

Promoted to director of operations for Marcus Theatres, Lee has more than 30 years of operations experience in
the cinema industry. He spent two years as the director of operations at Rave Cinemas and an additional 30
years with AMC Entertainment in a variety of operational roles before joining Marcus Theatres in November,
2013. As a district director, he was previously responsible for Marcus Theatres in Wisconsin, Iowa and
Minnesota. In his new role, Lee will be extremely involved in planning, directing and coordinating the
operational systems, polices and processes in support of the company’s mission.
“Matt’s extensive background in cinema operations combined with his leadership skills and ability to develop

someone of Matt’s caliber fulfill this role.”
