DIGITAL DISPLAYS ThruVu™ Cooler Display September 2014 BoldVu® TCD – (ThruVu™ Cooler Display) is a “transparent” LCD display technology that allows for Full HD resolution images, graphics and videos to be displayed on the front door assembly of the Cooler while still allowing the product within the Cooler to be seen by the consumer. The LCD technology is an enhanced version (i.e., higher transparency) of the same standard display you would see in a shopping mall, in an airport or even in your home while watching your favorite TV program. The difference is that MRI does not use direct LED backlighting but instead we use custom designed edge-mounted LEDs to provide the needed luminance to view the full-motion video / advertising on the screen while still allowing the ability to see “through” the screen to view the products (soda, beer, water, etc) that are positioned inside the Cooler, on the shelves. The new TransVu™ feature provides an induced Translucent “Canvas” with a 6% haze that enhances the visual impact by providing full, vibrant graphics while the door is closed and in the open position.
