Secure file viewing and collaboration
Brava for EMC Documentum Capital Projects allows users
across the organization to efficiently view and collaborate on
content in virtually any file format, including CAD drawings,
PDF files, Microsoft Office documents, image files and more.
With Brava, there’s no need to purchase multiple software
applications to view files. Brava is fast, with robust search
features that let you quickly find documents, and thumbnails
that let you jump right to the page you need. You spend less
time waiting for files to open, refresh and transition than with
comparable viewers.
Brava markups include stamps clouds, arrows, text and more.
Add built-in or custom image stamps or use bidirectional,
dynamic stamps to pull or push metadata from and to the EMC
Documentum repository, including drawing status, copyright
information and more. Stamps can also include system
information like the date, user name and file location.

Brava has a full markup toolset, including Changemark®
notes. Perfect for large CAD drawings and multi-page files,
Changemark notes step reviewers through every comment to
ensure that nothing is missed. The source document remains
secure and unmodified (markups and stamps are saved in a
separate XML file).

in CAD files is not converted to pixels (rasterized), thus

Technical details
Brava helps you make more economical purchase
decisions. Use the Takeoff feature to count doors, windows
and other features and to aggregate areas for flooring,
piping or other materials. You can then export the counts
and measurements in a spreadsheet to ensure that supply
orders are accurate.
Use resizable thumbnails to quickly scan complex drawings for the page you need.
Get an at-a-glance view of modifications that have been made to a drawing or document with Brava’s Compare tool. To ensure
accuracy of the final approved drawing, compare file versions to ensure that all changes have been made.

is deployable on premise or through OnDemand.
Because Brava does not rasterize documents, it offers rapid and accurate searches on words and phrases within and across
documents, letting you quickly find exactly the content that you need. It also ensures text is crisp and readable at any zoom level.

Brava allows you to publish CAD drawings and other documents to IGC’s secure Content Sealed Format (CSF) as well as to
PDF, PDF/A or TIFF for convenient and secure archiving or sharing with contractors. At conversion, you can add watermarks or
banners and burn in markups, stamps and Changemark notes. Publishing to CSF adds the ability to expire (time bomb) the
document, add password protection and control viewing and printing permissions to ensure that your documents are viewed
by the intended recipients and within the specified time frame. In addition, Brava honors all printing and annotation rights for
EMC Documentum User Groups and Roles.
Brava’s redaction tools allow efficient removal of proprietary information from documents, CAD drawings and images, either
automatically with intelligent pattern matching and text search or manually with area selection tools. You can completely
remove sensitive information from a drawing or document—not just hide it—and then finalize the redactions to a new PDF,
TIFF, or secure CSF file. The original file remains untouched in the repository.
