Program Director
Energy and Environmental Services (EES) Department
Position Summary
Responsible for directing the operations of Community Action Partnership of Orange County’s (CAPOC)
Energy & Environmental Services (EES) Programs required by several contractual sources, completed
by Agency employees and or licensed/independent subcontractors. Under administrative direction will
perform complex administrative and managerial work in directing, coordinating and reviewing all
functions of CAPOC’s EES Programs. EES Programs include weatherization for low income
households, utility bill
financial assistance, consumer education programs, energy conservation,
reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and etc. Other duties as assigned. Required: Education and/or
experience which include progressively responsible managerial with significant experience that
required the application of knowledge and abilities listed as minimum qualifications. BA/BS, with
5 or more years of managerial experience. Nonprofit and weatherization experience is highly
desirable. A test will be given to determine computer proficiency. Must pass test to be
considered for interview. A writing essay will be administered before the interview. OPEN UNTIL

Driver/Warehouse Worker
Food Bank Department
Position Summary
Under close supervision, operates vehicles, loads, unloads, weighs, stores and distributes food products,
records data on logs; and assists in the maintenance of the vehicles and warehouse. Works with
volunteers, donors and clients. Performs other duties as required. Required:
Must submit copy of a
valid California Class C Driver’s License including a DMV printout of current driving record with
application. A math test will be administered and must pass test to be considered for interview.

Cost Accountant

Position Summary
Under supervision of the Program Unit Support Manager, the Cost Accountant oversees the accounting
and reporting of a variety of funding
sources in the Energy & Environmental Services Department (EES);
provides technical support to department managers; tracks and maintains program budget. Completes

monthly expenditure/billing reports for various funders; oversees the accounting internal controls and
systems; analyzes costs and work in progress; reviews contracts and supports department managers
with compliance and prepares job cost reports. Required:Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting or
Finance or two (2) or more years of work and/or
equivalent experience, a minimum of two (2)
years in accounting methods
or finance, preferably construction. A test will be given to determine

Program Assistant
PEER EDUCATORS/RETHINK YOUR DRINK
Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Program Assistant will assist with the daily operation and administration
of the Peer Educator projects, for Nutrition Education Obesity Prevention (NEOP) as a subcontract from
the Orange County Health Care Agency. The Program Assistant will support program activities and field
work. Required:1-3 years or more related experience, with High School diploma or equivalent
education and/or experience. Preferred: AA/two years of college work and two or more years
equivalent work experience. Communicate in Spanish and English is required. A translation and

Program Coordinator
RETHINK YOUR DRINK
Position Summary
Staff works RETHINK YOUR DRINK projects, part of Nutrition Education and
Obesity Prevention
(NEOP), as a subcontract from the County of Orange Health Care Agency. Duties include planning,
scheduling, and implementing outreach and education to families, neighborhoods, and organizations as
prescribed in the scope of work. Provide nutrition education at community events including but not limited
to: health fairs, farmers markets, festivals and food distribution sites. Provide nutrition education classes
on healthy beverages at various sites. Required:Bachelor’s
degree preferred with 1-3 years
experience or some college and 1-3 years experience in social services environment.
Communicate in Spanish
and English is required. A translation and computer literacy test will be

Crew Chief
Energy and Environmental Services (EES) Department
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Field Superintendent provides the on-site overview of work being performed by
the on-site Crew Workers. Also, provides crew with training, direct application of
weatherization
materials and measures to homes in the service area and
other duties which are necessary for the
function of the department. Required: Must have two (2) years of supervisory and/or training
experience and three (3) years of weatherization and/or carpentry experience. Knowledge and/or
understanding of California Department of Community Services Development
and So. Cal Gas
Co., programs and manuals: Weatherization Installation Standards, Energy Savings Assistance
Program (ESAP) Installation Standards for Weatherization Measures, Lead-Safe Work Practices,
Uniform Building Code. Be certified by So. Cal Gas Co.
and Community Services Development
programs in the following: Basic Weatherization, Blower Door, Duct Blaster, Carbon Monoxide

Safety. OSHA 30 Certificate, Mechanical Ventilation, Online Training. If applicant does not hold
all certificates, willing to obtain missing certificates within 120 days from the date of hire. Must

Inspector/Assessor
Energy and Environmental Services (EES) Department
Position Summary
Under general supervision, is responsible for home assessment, diagnostics and testing including
Combustion Appliance Safety testing (CAS), Natural Gas Appliance Testing (NGAT), Electric Baseload
Measure Testing (EBL), National Energy Audit Tool (NEAT or REM DESIGN) and inspection of all
residential units served through Weatherization Contracts implemented by the Community Action
Partnership of Orange County (CAPOC). Will perform all required duties as necessary to ensure that
any and all weatherization work performed is according to Federal, State or other funding source code
and standard. Other duties as needed and/or assigned within the Energy & Environmental Services
(EES) Department. Required: Some experience or education which would have applied or
developed the required knowledge and abilities. Specialized field training or certification in or
related to the Weatherization field a plus. Must
provide a current Department of Motor Vehicles
(DMV) printout attached
to job application. A test will be administered and must pass test to
be
