SCHOLARSHIPS
February, 2014
Dear FHS Senior and Parents:
In this packet, you will find the FAF SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION. Please review all enclosed information, as
well as the FAF/webpage/scholarship Section, regarding the scholarships and their requirements. If you are
interested in these named scholarships, please indicate by marking an X next to ANY and ALL scholarships
which you may qualify. Since each scholarship is different regarding academic performance, financial need,
activities, and career interests, PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO INDIVIDUAL SCHOLARSHIP
REQUIREMENTS AS SOME REQUIRE LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION IN ADDITION TO THE APPLICATION.
We ask that you please complete the enclosed scholarship application, including the cover sheet, IN ITS
ENTIRETY, and MARK EACH SCHOLARSHIP YOU INTEND TO APPLY FOR. Please return the completed
application sheets along with all other requirements to the FHS Guidance Office no later than MONDAY,
MARCH 3, 2014.
IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO APPLY FOR ANY SCHOLARSHIPS, PLEASE COMPLETE
THE INTENT NOT TO APPLY FORM FOUND ON PAGE 8 OF THIS PACKET AND
RETURN IT TO FHS GUIDANCE BY MONDAY, MARCH 3, 2014.
Recipients of the various scholarships will be announced at the annual awards day held on Wednesday, May 7
at the FHS Auditorium. PLEASE NOTE: Winners of scholarships managed by FAF will receive their money
next fall; this money may be used for any academic expense once enrollment in college has been verified
although some scholarships will require enrollment in a specific major or field.
It is only by applying that you allow yourself the opportunity for consideration for these scholarship funds. A
little work can reap great rewards!
If you have any questions, please contact the FHS Guidance Office. You may also contact
