She longs for love, but is aware that that if she falls in love, she will lose her powers. From Aunt Queenie’s snooping, she learns that Shep is dating a former college rival of Gillian’s. Gillian is attracted to him. She decides to seduce him, but without magic, just to see if she can. With the help of Pyewacket, Shep appears at her door on cue. Gillian is a single young woman living in New York City with her cat, Pyewacket. As manager of a brownstone and first-floor resident, she has eyes on the charming Shep Henderson who occupies the second floor apartment. Sounds like a normal GBCT play. Right? As you may have guessed, there’s a twist. Gillian is a practicing witch. Her aunt who lives on the top floor, is also a witch and her brother Nicky is a warlock. The unusually-sudden romantic relationship between Gillian and Shep intensifies. When he proposes, she balks -- then decides to allow herself to fall in love, even if she loses her powers. She tells him that she, Nicky and Queenie are witches, explaining past “coincidences”. Shep is at first unbelieving, then disgusted. Then beloved Pyewacket vanishes. Oh no! Will this sweet, unusual, romantic show cast a spell on you too?
