JACK ERB MEMORIAL YOUTH/ADULT TOURNAMENT
TOURNAMENT RULES
1. This tournament will be a scotch doubles format. A bowler never rolls two consecutive balls. The
Youth rolls the first ball. If it is a strike, the partner (Adult) will bowl the next ball of the next frame.
If the bowler leaves pins standing, his or her partner will roll the next ball.
2. This tournament is C.T.F. sanctioned for C.T.F. bowlers only and all C.T.F. rules will apply. Nonsanctioned adult bowlers to pay $5 particpation fee.
3. Handicap is 100% of 220 derived from a combination of Youth/Adult averages. (For example,
Youth 150 and Adult 200 = 350 ÷2 = 175) The Adult is to use NTBA book average from 2012-2013
season. If no NTBA book average from 2012-2013, use this year minimum nine games. Youth is to
use current NTBA average as of average closing date (March 19, 2014), minimum 21 games.
Non-sanctioned adult bowlers to use their highest non-sanctioned adult league average. If no
league average, adult will be assigned a 150 average.
4. Event will comprise of three games on one pair of lanes as assigned by tournament committee.
5. No separate divisions.
6. Scholarships to the three top Youths.
1st place-$300 scholarship, 2nd place-$200 scholarship, 3rd place-$100 scholarship
7. In case of a tie, co-champions will be declared.
8. Entries close 30 minutes prior to squad time Sunday, March 23, 2014.
9. All protests are to be submitted to the Tournament Director in writing within 24 hours of event.
10. Proper attire will be expected of all bowlers. No headgear or ill-worded shirts will be allowed. Also
no abusive language or unsportsmanlike behaviour permitted during the tournament.
11. No alcohol to be consumed during tournament play.
12. Tournament directors’ decision is final, unless an appeal has been filed in accordance with C.T.F. rule 329.
