1. How do I access the DRDO site to fill up the online application?
An applicant should visit on to http://www.drdo.gov.in/ to access the home page of the online
application form.
2. When can I submit online application for DRDO Entry Test-2014 (CEPTAM-07 Advt.)?
An applicant should apply for DRDO Entry Test-2014 (CEPTAM-07 Advt.) within the prescribed
date notified by the DRDO. The complete and detailed information is available in the 'Employment
News dated' and
is also
available on CEPTAM

3. Who can apply online for DRDO Entry Test-2014(CEPTAM-07 Advt.)?
An applicant who fulfils the Essential Qualification Requirement (EQR) prescribed in the
Advertisement published in the 'Employment News dated' or available on DRDO website
http://www.drdo.gov.in/).
4. Are there any detailed guidelines for submitting an online application?
Yes, an applicant must refer to the “INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION” AND
“INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE APPLICATION” which are available on DRDO website
(http://www.drdo.gov.in/) for filling up the online application before applying.
5. What should I do if there is lot of delay to access the page for online application?
The delay in accessing the online application page depends upon various factors like Internet Speed,
large number of applicants using the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to
get the page for registration promptly, please retry after some time or during off-peak hours.
6. Is it necessary to fill up all parts of the application?
Yes, incomplete application will not be accepted.
7. How can I pay the fee for the DRDO Entry Test-2014 (CEPTAM-07 Advt.)?
There are two options for the payment of fee-Pay
i) Using credit/debit Card and
ii) Using Net Banking
8. I am exempted from payment of fee on account of being a Female/PH/SC/ST candidate. Am I
required to enter the payment details?
No. All the applicants who are exempted from the payment of fee, the application will validate the
candidates detail and they will be exempted. Candidates will not be taken to the “online fee
payment” page.
9. I have successfully submitted the online application, should I send the print outs of the
application to the CEPTAM, DRDO by post?
Once an applicant has successfully submitted the application through online, the same gets registered
with the DRDO and the applicant is NOT required to send a hard copy of the print out of his/her
application to the DRDO's office. However, the candidate must keep a hard copy of his /her
application for his/her own record. The candidate has to produce the printout of the application along
with all original documents at the time of DOCUMENT VERIFICATION / TRADE TEST /
INTERVIEW if shortlisted in the written examination.
10. How will I get the admit card if I have submitted the application online?
The Admit Cards to the called candidates for written examination will be available on DRDO web
site www.drdo.gov.in about 15 days before the exam date and the same can be downloaded.
Candidates are advised to carry original proof of their identity as mentioned in the online application
form, to the venue of the examination.
11. I have filled up the form successfully but now, I want to change / correct the details I entered in
the Application?
As the candidate click on submit button a message will appear that “Candidates may edit their
application details up to closing date of application, after that no change can be made, click ok for
submit / click cancel for edit”. However Candidates can also view their filled application details in
preview button before submitting the application. The candidates are advised to check the details
filled in application and satisfy themselves that all informations are correctly filled in. If candidate
desires to edit / change their details they may go back to the application page and can change their
details.
12. What should be the format and size for scanned photograph, thumb impression, signature,
EQR Document and driving license?
EQR Document should be in PDF file up to 2 MB.
Photograph must be a recent color passport size picture. (Height 4.5 mm & Width 3.5 mm), size of
file should be between 20kb–50 kb and it should be on JPG / JPEG format.
Signature must be on white paper with Blue / Black pen, size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb
and it should be on JPG / JPEG format.
Left Thumb Impression must be on white paper with Blue / Black stamp pad, size of file should be
between 10kb – 20kb and it should be on JPG / JPEG format.
Driving license should be between 20kb – 200kb and it should be on JPG / JPEG format.
13. The photograph / thumb impression / signature, I uploaded on the application form are not
appearing right. What should I do?
After uploading of the photograph, thumb, and the signature a fresh page shows the preview of the
uploaded images. If, the applicant is satisfied with the uploaded images he may click on Confirm
Upload button. In case the applicant is not satisfied with the uploaded images, he may click on the
Reload Photograph or Reload Signature button. The reloaded photograph/ signature can again be
viewed by clicking on the Image refresh button. The process can be repeated till satisfaction. The
Candidates may please note that if the quality of photograph/signature is poor, the application
is liable to be rejected. After having clicked on the Confirm Upload button, the system will not
allow any changes in the photograph/signature. However, if an applicant is not satisfied with the
format/size/quality of the photograph or signature, the applicant may submit a fresh online
application with the revised photograph and signature along with prescribed fee to be paid again.
14. How I will take printout of my online submitted application?
Candidates can view and print their finally submitted applications in by clicking PRINT option by
login on the application module available at CEPTAM notice board at http://www.drdo.gov.in/ site.
If candidate apply for more than 01 post, they can view and take print out of all applications from
here.
15. What should I do in case my Photo / thumb impression / Sign does not match with sizes
mentioned in DRDO Entry Test-2014 (CEPTAM-07 Advt.) guidelines?
Please recheck the size of images as per CEPTAM guidelines. If images are not as per instructions
try to resize them as per instructions. Images should be clear and identifiable. CEPTAM, DRDO is
concerned with identification of a candidate at the Exam Hall based on the images uploaded by the
candidate.
16. I am unable to upload Photo/ thumb / Sign in my application. What should I do?
Please check the properties of photo and sign images. Resize them as per specifications given in
instructions for filling online application on the website.
17. Is it possible to edit the details submitted in my application?
Candidates may edit their application details up to closing date of application, after that no change
can be made. For more details ref. Question no 11.
18. How to get refund of payment as I have made payment more than once towards its fee.
DRDO has no provision to refund any fee amount paid by candidates. Concerned banks may be
approached for claiming any extra / unsuccessful payments made by the candidates.
19. How eligibility of age is calculated?
It is calculated based on cut-off date as mentioned in the advertisement.
20. What details should I provide to make correspondence with the CEPTAM, DRDO?
For any correspondence with the CEPTAM, DRDO, an applicant MUST mention Post Code,
Applicant's name, father's name, Mother’s name, date of birth, address & contact no.
21. What details should I retain after successful submission of my Application form?
It is strongly advised that after the completion of the process of submission of the online application,
the applicant must take a print out of the submitted application form and keep the same for future
reference. Candidates NEED NOT to send print out of application to CEPTAM office. The
candidate is also advised to keep his fee payment proof which might be required by the CEPTAM,
DRDO in case of any discrepancy.
22. How do I re-confirm that my application is received in the CEPTAM, DRDO Office?
The successful submission of the online application requires the completion of all parts of the
application correctly. After completing the application the system generates a unique number which
is known as the Online Application Number. After the completion of all the fields, a fresh page
displays the message that the application has been submitted successfully. The generation of the
unique online application number combined with the display of this message indicates that the
application has been submitted.
23. After filling up the complete form, I got Blank Screen / Internet got disconnected / My PC
closed / hanged / shutdown. Is my application saved / registered?
On completion of application Online, Application Number is generated by the system. If the same
has not been generated and you are disconnected midway due to any reason, you have to login and
click to "My draft Application" link under the Status / Edit of Application link. You can view and
continue your filled application from here.
24. Can an applicant apply for multiple applications for the same Post Code? What will be status
of my candidature if I have successfully submitted more than one application?
Applicant cannot submit (more than one) application for the same Post code. However they can
apply for more than one post from same registration.
25. I got Blank Application No. after submission of application on-line?
This may mean that the application has not been submitted successfully and you are required to
Apply afresh.
26. I have submitted two applications for the examination, one through online and the other
through offline. Will my both applications be accepted/rejected or one of them will be
accepted/rejected?
For those post codes where online application is mandatory, offline mode of application will be
rejected. In those post codes where online application is optional, more than one application has been
submitted by an applicant, irrespective of the mode of submission, the CEPTAM, DRDO entertains
only one application and the remaining applications are amalgamated.
27. Whether the photograph should be in Black & white or should it be in a color?
Only color photo is acceptable as long as they are as per the given specifications and quality of
photograph is good enough to be identifiable and acceptable.
28. How do I load my signatures/photograph?
Refer to “detailed instructions for filling up online application”.
29. If the Photograph is not in the desired format, then how to convert it?
If the image is in other formats such as .tiff, .bmp etc, then open the photo in MsPaint or Irfanview
and click save as option to save it in the desired format (.jpg).

If the Photograph is not of the proper pixel size given, then how to convert it?
Use any free image editing software such as MSPaint or Irfanview. To delete the unnecessary print
area, use the CROP option after selecting the Image. To resize to proper pixel size use the resize
Option.
