Bond Special election •November 4, 2014
The Lone Jack C6 School District is committed to excellence, and strives to maintain a school environment
that not only helps our students learn, but teaches them to reach higher. We need our community’s help to
make this commitment a priority for Lone Jack’s children.
The Lone Jack C6 School District is preparing for a Bond Election vote on November 4, to support our
students’ educational and school district’ s needs. The school district is asking the citizens of Lone Jack to
vote on November 4. We thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
What Is Being Voted On?
The November 4, 2014 ballot is presenting to the Lone Jack School District patrons a no-tax increase bond
to borrow money in the amount of $2.69 million.
How will the bond funds be used in our schools?
The bond issue will provide the funds for the following:
Building/revamping the front entrance at the high school so that a
“Children are the
secure vestibule allows for safe entrance of students and guests
most important
Updating/upgrading technology infrastructure across the district
Additional security cameras throughout the district
aspect in a country.”
Gas lines added to the science labs at the high school
-Nelson Mandela
Roof repair and replacement district-wide
Replace and repair HVAC systems and install HVAC controls
Upgrade/install communications systems at both campuses
Install direct emergency connectivity to local emergency response units
Adding more electrical outlets to classrooms to increase technology access
The bond issue will allow for these additions and improvements at no additional tax increase for the public.
Several other maintenance and infrastructure improvements are also planned.

Student Safety #1 Priority
With the passage of the special election
school bond, security improvements to both the high
school and elementary campuses take precedence to
the renovations and additions to our schools.
Security improvements will include additional
improved cameras across the district, as well as
providing both buildings direct emergency response
connectivity and upgrading our communication
systems. In addition, a secure vestibule will be added
to the High School to allow for the safe entrance of
students and guests, instead of the direct access to
halls the entrance currently provides.
Singing in the rain! ... (and
the heat and the cold!)
The bond passage will allow the district to
replace approximately two-thirds of the district's
roofs and all of the oldest heating/cooling units,
allowing for a much more efficient use of
maintenance management and monies. By adding
control systems to the HVAC, enhanced efficiency
will help control energy output and reduce costs. At
the elementary, outside ventilation will be provided
to increase fresher air circulation.
It’s…Science! (& More!)
For more Information
We want our students to be able to perform
science labs and experiments with the best of them,
and that's why the passage of this bond provides the
installation of gas lines to the science labs. In
addition, more electrical outlets will be provided in
the classrooms, which will enhance teacher/student
technology access greatly! Technology infrastructure
will be beefed up as well!
