Data Center Strategy
Key Objectives:
•
Consolidate into one primary data center (NY5) and disaster recovery data
center (CH4)
•
Reduce customer infrastructure costs providing long-term price certainty
•
Facilitate a seamless technical and operational integration for customers
•
Provide customers site flexibility without affecting trading experience

Data Center Strategy
Key Outcomes:
•
All BATS/DE exchanges operate from current sites throughout 2014
•
EDGA and EDGX migrate to NY5 in January 2015
•
BZX, BYX, and BATS Options migrate to NY5 in 2Q2015
•
Discounted “BATS Customer Pricing” at NY5 when ordering space, power, or
other services in NY5
– Pricing in effect for the life of the data center contract
– Provides cost certainty for customers who choose NY5
•
Maintain a network PoP in NY4 and NJ2 indefinitely to preserve current
Member connections
•
BATS will engineer equal latency to its exchanges at NY5 from equipment
located either at NY4 or NY5
