 Year 2 Excursion to Munzer Aged Care Facility
Introducing our New School Psychologist
Heather Bunting is our new School Psychologist here at FKI. She has recently
returned to Melbourne after spending 24 years in Alice Springs. Heather has
worked in schools and also has experience in early childhood, supporting services
and parenting issues. She is at FKI on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and
is available to support individual students and their families, as well as provide psychoeducational assessments when required. Heather has placed Parent Referral forms at her door
and there is a post box to receive these referrals confidentially.

Reminders
Please note that all entry and exit to/from the campus is to be via the front gate at Feodore
Street only. Please do not use the Frederick St gate.

Crazy Hair / Crazy Hat Day – Monday 3 March - Rosh Chodesh Adar 2 (Lower Kinder –Year 2)

Tuck Shop - Wednesdays (Prep – Year 2)
Dear Parents, Please be reminded with the re-opening of tuck shop on Wednesdays, that the tuck shop
sells milk products. We ask you to bear this in mind when packing your child’s lunch and it may be better
to avoid meat products on this day.

Staff Conference Day – Monday 10 March (Lower Kinder and Upper Kinder) On Monday 10
March we will be offering a Long Day Care program for all children enrolled in Szalmuk Family Early
Learning Centre and Fink Karp Ivany Early Learning Centre. Please click here for more details and a
booking form.

Parent Lounge (Lower Kinder –Year 2) – In order to make your details available to other parents in
your child/ren’s year levels you need to share your details through Parent Lounge. You will need your
parent code and BPay billing reference from your fee statement to log in. When you log in to the Parent
Lounge, on the left hand side column you will see a title for Parent Directory with a link ‘Click here to
maintain your Listing Details’. You need to click through and then check the boxes under ‘Share’ to
indicate which details you would like to make available to the other parents. This will then allow other
parents to contact you to organise get togethers and party invitations.

Dobsons Winter Uniform Fittings and Sales (Prep – Year 2)
Wednesday 19 March from 2pm-4pm the Dobsons Uniform Shop will be at the FKI Campus
(located in the Shule Hall next door to the campus) for winter uniform fittings and sales. Please contact
Sue on 9808 9909 to book an appointment time.

Second Hand Uniforms (Prep – Year 2)
The Scope shop has now closed permanently. The second hand uniform shop has been relocated to FKI. For
opening hours and sales enquiries please contact Yvonne Fayman by email [email protected]
Parents’ Association
Please note that all volunteers must obtain a Working with Children card. Forms are available online at
http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/home/applications/ Form must be printed out, completed in full and submitted
at Australia Post together with a passport photo. Application is free of charge for volunteers. This applies for PSG,
tuck shop, lunch orders, events, classroom helpers etc..
 FKI Parents Support Group (PSG) - We are desperately in need of volunteers to help protect our

 Emerald City Carnival Kingdom - Sunday 30 March (Lower Kinder – Year 2)
Emerald City Carnival Kingdom is set to be our biggest carnival ever. Staged at the Gandel Campus,
Burwood from 10am-4pm, this amazing event will feature awesome rides for all ages, games, sports, arts,
crafts, great food and a feature performance by the Wizard of Oz Senior Musical Cast. Unlimited access
wristbands for $20 will be on sale soon online, and also at the GBH and FKI campuses. Adults and

Bar & Bat Mitzvah Registry Coordinators 2014 - 2020
In an effort to reduce the risk of event clashes in your child's year, the Mount Scopus Parents' Association
offers you the chance to register your upcoming Simcha. Please be mindful of Shabbat, Jewish Holidays and
Festivals when planning your Simcha and note registering your Bar/Bat Mitzvah is optional.
