Summary
IntegrITS has a position for a RF Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) who has shipboard configuration,
troubleshooting, and repair experience. The Systems Engineer will provide SME technical knowledge and expertise
support to SPAWAR HQ for ship and shore Command, Control, Communication, Computer, and Intelligence (C4I) system
training related performance issues. The individual will support analysis of C4I system and operator performance issues
related to available training services and/or material for C4I communication systems. The individual will also document
these performance issues and provide recommendations of solutions to mitigate the training related performance issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities






Researches and identifies all C4I communications training support services, material, and information available to
the Fleet.
Researches and analyzes C4I communication system performance issues associated with training.
Reviews manning requirements in regards to proper staffing and training of personnel associated with C4I
communications.
Identifies gaps in available C4I communications and associated C4I training services, material, and information.
Documents analysis results and training gaps and provides recommendations to mitigate training deficiencies.
Develops position/white papers, briefs, etc., to support recommendations.
Required Qualifications













5-10 years of experience with C4I communications; configuration, maintenance, and operations.
Experience with RF communication and crypto/CMS systems.
Working knowledge of Navy shipboard VHF, UHF, HF, SHF, EHF, and SATCOM communication systems and
interfaces with other associated shipboard system.
Experience with maintenance and trouble shooting of C4I communication systems
Working knowledge of router/switch configurations, wire maintenance, and computer hardware maintenance and
troubleshooting
Experience conducting research and analysis of data, and generating coherent recommendations; ideally
associated with training services and/or material
Experience with Cybersecurity (CS) processes and procedures
Individual needs to be a self-starter, able to work effectively on an individual basis and/or as part of a team;
requires limited to no supervision.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English, and experience in Navy terminology.
Experience developing positions/white papers and briefing material.
Sound working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able to successfully pass the required drug test.
Individual needs to have a minimum of a SECRET security clearance
Desired Qualifications




Bachelor Degree in a technical field.
Demonstrated experience and familiarity with Navy afloat satellite communication systems, e.g., WSC-6/8
SATCOM systems, Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Navy
EHF Satellite Program (NESP), Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Battle Force Tactical Network (BFTN), and
Digital Modular Radio (DMR).
Experience with cryptographic and CMS material and processes associated with afloat C4I systems.
Familiarity with C4I and SATCOM installations and shore maintenance activities associated with Navy C4I
communication systems.




Experience with C4I systems on U.S. Navy combatants.
Experience with Navy system qualifications processes and procedures.
Experience with Navy training curriculum.
Experience with Navy training aids.
