The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) is the largest regional convention centre in
Australia and caters for 10 to 6,000 people, specialising in all events from small meetings to corporate and
association conferences, national and international incentives, banquets, exhibitions, concerts and sporting
and special events.
The GCCEC has initiated the Linkage Grant Program to assist in the professional and personal development
of individuals by funding attendance at a national or international conference in their chosen field of endeavour.
The funding covers travel, accommodation and registration expenses to the maximum value of the award.
To be eligible to win one of the Grants, simply research a national or international conference that has the
potential to be staged at the GCCEC and present a brief case as to why the conference could be held here.

To ensure your convention meets the selection criteria, please send this form
through to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) for
pre-approval, prior to addressing the selection criteria. The GCCEC team will
get back to you within five working days after receipt to advise if your
chosen convention meets the selection criteria If it is not approved then the
GCCEC will assist you to find an alternative approved convention on a similar
topic.
How to enter
Applicants must must prepare a written submission addressing the selection
criteria and submit their completed application by the closing date of 27
February 2015. Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview
by end April 2015.
Winners will be announced in the last week of May 2015.
Who can enter
Applicants must be over 18 years of age and can be employed in Educational
institutions, private companies or Government departments.
Students of tertiary institutions may enter with the support of their University
or College.
The convention the applicant wishes to attend needs to meet two criteria:

Rotate around different countries and be able to
include Australia in the rotation pattern.
•
To be held between June 2015 and December 2016
Successful applicants will receive a grant of up to $5,000 AUD to be used to
attend the approved international convention of their choice. The scholarship
may be used to fund air travel, accommodation, new association membership
and convention registration fee.
