Process-gas cleaning in a foundry
e.g. N.V. SADACI S.A. Gent (Beglium)
Production of molybdenum(VI)-oxide by roasting molybdenum(VI)-sulfide (MoS2). This process incur sulfor
dioxide gases (SO2), which are transformed to sulfuric acid (H2SO4) in the following wet-process.
In this process, the gases are close to their dew point and are therefore extremely corrosive.
The dampers type 4100 made of FRP/FEP shut-off reliably the hot to the cold section.

Waste air purification in chemical / pharmaceutical industry
e.g. Janssen Pharmaceutics NV, Zaventem (Belgium)
The dampers type 4100 made of FRP, FRP/C22 and PP are used for regulating and shutting-off in the central
waste air purification plant for the factory of Geel.
The gas scrubbing system with plastic pipes (PP or ECTFE) is additionaly equipped with the fire protection
system DICO41.
The fire dampers shut-off the area before and after the activated carbon filters and fans from the plastic
pipeline with a special fire protection laminate to protect against incineration.

Chemical waste burning plant

Valorec Services Ltd. is specialised in the disposal of hazardous wastes including chemical waste.The
company operates an incineration plant including a flue gas cleaning system. There are high concentrations of
chlorine, bromine, sulfur, nitrogen or phosphorus compounds.
The dampers type 4100 are used for the tight and secure shut-off of the bypass-system.

Fire-protection for plastic pipeline

W.C. Heraeus GmbH is a globally active copmany in the field of precious metals and technology.
Our fire protection system type DICO41 is used in the flue-gas scrubbers at the plants of Hanau (Germany)
and Mendrisio (Switzerland). The metals produced are gold, silver and platinum.
All plastic pipes are laminated with the special fire-resistant laminate before and after the transition sections.
The sections are secured with our dampers. The use of our special fire protection systems DICO41 was
recommended by the insurance company after a large fire on of the companies plant.
