What is the GAC?
GAC places students 21 years and older
into a flexible instructional program to
work on obtaining a high school diploma.
Iroquois High School
5615 Taylor Boulevard
Session times:
8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Orientation for GAC
Orientation is held at Dawson Orman
on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12 p.m.
and 5 p.m. The student will complete
paperwork and take an entrance exam,
which covers math and reading.

We have four sites with up to three
available sessions.
Ahrens Educational Resource Center

Jaeger Education Center

Session times:
8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Fairdale High School

Session times:
8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Each site has a computer and math lab to
help students with their coursework.
Independent Study
This is a correspondence program that allows
students to work at their own pace. Students
have 120 days to complete the course. Once
the coursework has been completed, the student
must take a proctored final exam at Dawson
Orman. There is a $25 textbook fee for each
course. Once the textbook has been returned,
a refund check will be issued to the student for
the full amount. If you have any other

JCPSeSchool
This online program allows students to earn
credits from home. Students have 120 days to
complete each course. Once the coursework has
been completed, the student must take a proctored
final exam at Dawson Orman. JCPSeSchool allows
students to communicate with a teacher via email
or phone. W hen the student is enrolled through
the GAC program, there is not a fee for
JCPSeSchool. If you have any other questions,
