Performance What is Vmcg? What is its relationship to V1? i.e. equal to less than or both?? What is TODA, TORA, ASDA What is the requirement for obstacles in the clearway? (the Airbus training tool on Skybook has 26’, he said I was wrong and I showed him the document, we discussed the symbol for feet vs inches “ or ’ I just stated I can only go by what is in the company documents but agreed it was a typo as threshold lights standing at 26’ were a little too obtrusive. Why isn’t the stopway part of the runway? What requirements must it meet to be a stopway? I just stated it must be a hard surface equal width to runway designated by airport authorities as capable of handling the weight of an aircraft, I then talked about displaced thresholds/stopways being unusable as runways due to the requirement for obstacle clearance in approaches requiring a set angle such as 3 deg glide path thus resulting in a loss of a portion of the runway, but being available for takeoff or stopping. General What happens when the Pitot tube becomes blocked at high altitude and you descend, what will it indicate? Two aircraft descend at same position and at same speed, one is heavier than the other, which one will fly further and why? What is green dot speed? CRM Define SA? I believe they were going to ask What is PCP? So I gave the answer in my definition of SA What are the 4 markers for the NOTECH of Leadership and Management? Limitations What are the memory Items? What is the memory item for GPWS? Final Question was on MEL (not sure what topic it was but I cant seem to recognize the second technical question) Can we extend an MEL item after the expiry date? All up the first three questions will be marked poorly regardless of being right or not due to the wasted time finding answers I already knew, as for the Emerg Gen, I will get smashed for that, should have been a 5 but I am sure I will be lucky to get a 2. Memory items no worries just didn’t state the ‘Pull up TOGA’ at the start, and I had to write the 10 memory items on the board as I couldn’t spit out the last one, then laughed as it was the most obvious TCAS that I missed, after that I settled into it and it flowed very quickly. I recited most answers such as SA definition and three of the markers for Leadership, it took me a few seconds to remember the last one, they did drop a little hint but I didn’t look it up, there is no doubt they were encouraging me to not to look it up so they could give a 4 or 5, they are happy for you to look it up as well. Other batch mates gave me the following questions: Difference between Augmented crew and Inflight relief Hand baggage weight limits 4 levels of Assertiveness Two Notechs for Co-Operation What is CAMPS What three words summarise SA (PCP) 2 signs of loss of SA What are the 4 climb segments Describe a high bypass engine operation What is elevator redundancy what is the difference between Mist and Fog What is the engine thrust on the A330 What is the RNP requirement in Somalia and what equipment is required Other peoples recent Questions HF Emergency Frequency ADS B ISOL on SIGWX FUEL planning Mach T VMCG VMCL Swept wing explain Scatana Procedures INAD/DEPU B hyd pump auto engagement Low speed warning Ice shedding procedure VMBe explain Cat IIIa PFD info from ADR Effect of slats When does the Blue Electric pump auto run? What does the LAND RECOVERY do? When do you need a Take off Alternate If the weather at destination is below minima, can you depart ? What is situational Awareness? They were happy with Perception, Comprehension, Projection What are the 4 markers of NOTECHS? I stumbled a bit on this one, had to look it up in the CRM manual (Co-operation, Leadership, Situatioanl Awareness, Decision making) What is the holding speed at 20,000ft - and if London ATC asked you to hold at 235kts and green dot was 230 kts what would you do? What does CAT 3 single mean? WHat are the minimum's for Cat 3 a (DH and Vis) If you were doing a Cat3 A and you saw the 3 lights on approach but didn't get FLARE what would you do What is Dutch Roll, and what does Airbus have to deal with this? - had a total brain fart on this one...but managed to find it Draw TORA,TODA and ASDA on the white board...does Stopway have to be a hard surface?
