M/s Galaxy Consultants, Hubli have submitted the estimation for furnishing and
electrical work of premises of Macche Branch. As per HOC 13215 dated 15-july-2013
Regional Manager has powers till Rs.2 lakhs and as per HOC/GAD/MV/115/2014
dated 10/01/2014 have accorded permission for the below amount, So we may call
the tenders from the Bank‟s empanelled furnishers/contractors by putting notification
in our Bank‟s web site and forward the same to the head office for approval since it
exceeds the power of R.M.
The architect has submitted estimation for furnishing and electrical work at total cost
of Rs.3,63,302/- detailed as under:

We may place tender notice in our banks website for furnishing the premises of our
Macche branch. Last date for collection of tenders may be given as 22.03.2014 and

TENDER NOTICE
Notice inviting tender bids from „EMPANELLED‟ furnishers for furnishing work of
Vijaya Banks‟ New Branch at MACCHE,Belgaum Dist, Karnataka.
INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS
1. The proposed furnishing of the premises of MACCHE BRANCH is as per the
attached bill of quantities.
2. Tender forms shall be collected from the Chief Manager, General
Administration Department, Regional Office, Kalburgi Mansion, Lamington
Road, Hubli 580020 on or before 5.00 pm on 22.03.2014. Tender forms can
also be down loaded from the website www.vijayabank.com.
3. An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs. 4500/= (Rupees Four Thousand Five
Hundred Only) shall be made in the form of a DD or Banker‟s cheque favoring
Vijaya Bank, payable at Hubli.
4. Upon finalization of awarding the contract, the EMD shall be returned to
unsuccessful tenderers. The successful tenderer‟s EMD shall be retained as
part of the security retention.
5. The successful tenderers shall deposit 2% of the tender value (inclusive of
EMD) as security deposit.
6. 5% of the amount from each running bill shall be retained from successful
contractor by the Bank as security retention. This retention money shall be
returned to the contractor after the completion of the defect liability period of
12 months (after obtaining completion certificate from the architect) and after
making necessary adjustment towards defects, if any.
7. The total time fixed for completion of all the works is 7 days including
holidays from the day the contract is awarded.
8. The work should be completed strictly within the stipulated period from the
day the contract is awarded. If the work is not completed within the
stipulated time period, the contractor shall be liable to pay the liquidated
damages at a sum of 1% per week of the estimated cost shown in the tender
subject to maximum of 10% of the total value.
9. All the rates shall be filled up in figures as well as in words without fail. All
pages of the tender documents should be signed.
10. All bidders are requested to study the BOQ carefully and get all doubts
clarified prior to submitting the tender.
11. The tender should be addressed to the Assistant General Manager, Vijaya
Bank, Regional Office, Lamington Road, Hubli – 580020.
12. Completed and sealed tender along with EMD and a Separate DD of Rs. 500/towards cost of tender should reach Vijaya Bank, Regional Office, Hubli, not
later than 5.00 p.m. on 22.03.2014. The envelope should be
superscribed“Tender for furnishing work at Macche Branch.” The DD of
Rs.500/- towards cost of tender and the EMD DD must be enclosed in a
separate envelope and be super scribed accordingly.
13. The tender will be opened at 11.00 a.m. on 24.03.2014. Interested tenderers
or their representative may be present at the time of opening of tender.
14. No extension of time will be given unless the competent authority is
convinced that the delay is due to circumstances totally beyond the control of
the contractor.

19. Vijaya Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any tender irrespective of
the lowest bidder without assigning any reasons.
20. Successful tenderers will open/should have an account in any one of our
branches. All bill amounts will be paid to this account.

 Whenever Contractor proposes to use equivalent makes (ie., other than
specified) the same shall be done only after prior approval of the Bank. Any
additional expenditure and time due to this shall be solely on contractor‟s
account and no claims whatsoever shall be entertained.

one Hundred Only) shall be made in the form of a DD or Banker‟s cheque
favoring Vijaya Bank, payable at Hubli.
