ABSTRACT:
The Purpose of the study was to compare the degree of aggression between university level throwers and
jumpers. The age of the subjects were ranging from 18 - 25 years. For the present study twenty five
Throwers and twenty five Jumpers from All India Intervarsity Athletic Meet 2013-14 were selected
randomly as the subjects for the study.

Modern competitive sports of today demands more emphasis on the training of psychological aspects of
sport. The high level performance seen in competitive sports is nothing but a perfect optimum
harmonious relationship between one’s psychological preparedness and technical preparation.

METHODS & MATERIALS:
For the purpose of present study twenty five Thrower’s and twenty five Jumpers from All India
Interuniversity Athletic Meet 2013-14 held at Punjabi University, Patiala from 23rd December 2013 to
28th December 2013 were selected randomly as the subjects for the study.

Background Information. Figures That The Plotted Parameters are Clearly Mentioned.
RESULT:
The data was analyzed by using "t" test. The significance of mean difference was found between scores
obtain on aggression by throwers and jumpers of All India Inter University Athletic Meet has been
presented in Table – 1.

DISCUSSION:
The mean value 14.24 of throwers on aggression was found to be higher than the jumpers of All India
Interuniversity athletic championship, which revealed that throwers were more aggressive in
comparison to the jumpers.
