Dear Student As the Course Leader of the BSc (Hons) Finance with Management degree course I would like to welcome you to the University of Westminster. BSc FwM, as the programme is known, is an exciting, stimulating and challenging finance and business management degree. It will give you the opportunity to study the conceptual and applied aspects of finance and the business, legal and social environment in which finance and financial services operate. To get you started in Westminster Business School, we have laid on a programme of activities that will help you get to meet the teaching staff, find your way around the site and have your questions answered. On Tuesday 16th September the student union normally holds their freshers fair. This is a fun event which will give you the opportunity to meet many new students and join any of our vast array of student societies. Look out for the Finance Society, which was very active last year. The welcome programme for direct entrants commences on Thursday 18th September at 10.00-11.30 in the Wood Lecture Theatre where there will be an introduction to some key University services followed by a social event and your enrolment into the University of Westminster and further activities up to 17.00. On Friday 19th an employability session is planned and I have a drop in session 1000-1130 in C376 so I can answer any of your last minute queries. The Course team looks forward to welcoming you when you arrive and, in the meantime, should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
