Dear Member,
It is my privilege to welcome you
all with this first Newsletter of
Gujarat State Center. New Council
of the State Center has just taken
over. It will be our endeavor to
further the cause of the
Institution in the State with full
vigor.
We have started weekly lecture
series covering various topics
from
different
engineering
disciplines. Renowned speakers
shall enlighten us on several
subjects.
We shall also be lining up several
All India Seminars, one day
Workshops, exhibitions, and
penal discussions on subjects of
interest so as to satiate your
hunger for knowledge .
We shall also launch membership
drive in the State to expand our
base and reach.
This
newsletter
has
announcements for students.
Please go through the same and
also go through various awards
that are given every year to
meritorious students.
We shall try to disseminate
information about our activities
and also the forthcoming events
through this Newsletter regularly.
Your suggestions will go a long
way in improving our functioning.

55th Annual Session
55th Annual Session of the Gujarat
State Center of The IEI was held
immediately after the AGM. Hon
Minister Education, Higher &
Technical Education, Science &
Technology Shri Bhupendrasinh
Chudasma was the Chief Guest.
During this session Shri S.J.Desai
was installed as Chairman of the
Center for the 2014-16 session.Shri
C.V.Nadpara took over as Hon
Secretary of the Center for the
2014-16 session.
Chairman outlined the programmes
planned to be taken up to make the
Center vibrant and emphasised the
necessity of taking up membership
drive. Council member Shri Navin
Vasoya gave brief introduction of
IEI, its activities and urged
students who passed out recently
to join IEI.
Medals were distributed at the
hands of Hon Minister to the
meritorious students. Prizes for
National Poster Competition for
students organized by WMF were
also distributed by him. Council

683rd Meeting of the Council held
at Agartala, Tripura on 20th
September, 2014.
Dr.
Reddy’s
professional
experience
encompasses
technological
research,
engineering
consultancy
&
capacities building in Higher
Education. His current interests
include Institutional Building,
Micro & Nano Systems, Bio &
Chemical
Sensors,
Energy
management and Sustainable
Development. He has significantly
contributed to multi-discipline
thought leadership in Engineering
Education and Research.
His work has been published 32
papers in Journals/proceedings.
He has edited many special
publications
including

Monographs on contemporary
technologies. He has pursued
GSC News
Post Doctoral work at University
of Kentucky, US,after his PhD in
energy Management.
His contributions are well
accomplished in engineering
education including large number
of working professionals trained
to employable under MHRD
world-bank funded CEP-AICTE
programme.
He is currently Director National
Design and Research Forum and
Vice President of IEI. His
dedication
to
technology
development,
capacity
to
network and patience to listening
are rare qualities. IEI immensely
benefited through his innovative
ideas and contribution to
Education and Accreditation
system and Research.
