Optimization of paper transport sequence and highly sophisticated image adjustment for back side printing
Main unit
Productivity in printing is increased due to the paper transport sequence optimized for higher productivity and advanced and speedy image adjustment procedure.
Functions
Benefits
• Newly developed algorithm helps increase printing speed and at the same time reduce the burden on the engine, ensuring stability in printing.
• Advanced image adjustment(micro zooming) is implemented at high speed when the back side is printed, thus avoiding the productivity deterioration that is experienced with back side printing.
• 100% productivity is achieved in automatic both‐side printing regardless of paper grammage.
• Time required for image adjustment is reduced, thus contributing to productivity in both‐side printing.
<Productivity deterioration in micro zooming>
Highly sophisticated mage adjustment(micro zooming) is required when the back side is printed because of the fact that the paper slightly shrinks during the fixation of the front side. This problem, causing productivity deterioration is solved by the optimizing technology newly developed and incorporated in C1100/C1075.

7 A mode to increase productivity of mix media printing is introduced
1
Main unit
Productivity of “Mix media” printing is improved by changing the setting of adjustment sequence.
Functions
Benefits
• Optimizing the difference in processing temperature for thick and thin papers helps reduce the waiting time during the switch to different paper.
• Productivity in “Mix media” printing is improved by 60%(max.).
Condition : Cover; coated paper 150gsm, 4 pages, Body; color print paper 80gsm, 12pages
<Example; Both‐side printing using Mix Media (cover x 1 sheet, body x 3sheets)>
Processing temperature needs to be changed according the paper type and thickness when the printing speed is kept constant. Narrowing the difference in processing temperature between the thick and thin papers helps decrease the waiting time during the switch to different paper.

• Efforts to manually sort different sheets printed with different conditions is no longer necessary, and productivity is enhanced in the large volume print works such as education materials and manuals. Note: Because post‐printing process is specific to each job, it is not possible to apply different post‐print processing to each job in the group.
■ Application of “Build Job”. (example)
A seminar is held by three speakers inviting 100 participants. Four documents as follows will be delivered to each participant. Documents; ①Speaker‐1, fine name = 1.pdf
⇒ A4 double‐sided x 1sh
②Speaker‐2 , fine name = 2.doc ⇒ A4 double‐sided x 2sh + stapling at 2 positions
③Speaker‐3 , fine name = 3.pdf ⇒ A4 single‐sided x 10sh + stapling at 1 position
④Questionnaire, fine name = 4.doc ⇒ A4 single‐sided x 1sh
Normal preparation;
Either print and manually prepare 100 sets each of ①~④ or deliver each document separately to all of 100 participants.
Using “Build Job” mode; Automatically prints a complete set of ①~④ for 100 participants without the need of manual setting.
Just deliver the complete set that is directly output from the machine to each of 100 participants.

Sales Talk
Even when a request is made for using different paper or different delivery schedule for the job just before the job is processed, it can be effectively dealt with using the “Build Job” function.
Example: It was scheduled to print three jobs using Paper‐A and five jobs using paper‐B. A call came just before the print job starts, requesting to change the paper to Paper‐A for one job that was originally to be printed with Paper‐B. The operator immediately changed the grouping and processed the job groups so that the delivery time for each job was kept as requested.

Color management is extensively enhanced <Color Centro>
Konica Minolta’s own “Exact Colour” high precision calibration increases calibration capacity.
Functions
Benefits
• Combining three‐dimensional (3D) calibration with the existing one‐dimensional (1D) calibration corrects even colour balances such as for neutral colours and mixed colours to provide the same effects as creating a printer profile.
• 3D calibration is confirmed to be superior to the existing 1D calibration as it offers precise measurements using patches for two‐dimensional colours and neutral colours, etc. • 3D can correct colours to match the standard colours as much as possible even in environments that influence colour changes.
• Achieves easy matching of colour when operating multiple machines.
