Fritz Berner Ordinarius 29.01.2014 Vorlesungsankündigung Sommersemester 2014 Construction, Contracting and Cultures in foreign Countries (2 SWh / 3 LP) Not only globalization, but also an increase in international teamwork, shows the importance of the English language. Due to the high demand of the students preparing for their professional life in the real estate industry, the Institute for Construction Management is going to offer a lecture in English again. The lecture will be given by Dipl.-Ing. Steven Wilbrenninck MBA, who has particular experience in international projects, such as the construction of large sports facilities. On the basis of selected examples of current and past international foreign projects, the differences and the special features concerning construction, contracts and the (construction) culture of various countries will be discussed, in comparison to Germany. The lecture is addressed especially to the students of IuI Master-classes, yet civil engineering and bachelor students are also welcome. Preliminary Schedule: The lectures are presumably held in 4 blocks. The exact dates will be announced in due time.
