The activites of the
Student Council have been
various. Initiation was planned big for this year and was
a success. School Spirit Week
was something new organized
this year and almost everyone
participated, which ia rather
unusual for this school. Spirit
Week was wound up with a Druid
Night at the muck pile. Mr.
Dyck organized a singing session
and 1 think all enjoyed themselves.
For Christmas Spirit, a
caroling spree was taken on.
Only girls showed up on the
perfOrmanCe night.
Because we almost froze to
death, hot chocolate at Mr.
Kozokowsky's was a warm relief.
The main project of the
Student Council was to support
an orphan in Viet Nam. After
some waiting we finally received a picture of Dao Quang
Khai
At the time that the
article is being written,
graduation is being planned.
It is hoped that it too ahall
be a success.
All in all the Student
Council had a prosperous year.

TAIGA TEENS
Taiga Teens i s an "organi z a t i o n " sprung from the depths
of our l o c a l r e c r e a t i o n a l d i r e c t o r ' s mind. The name i s of
my own c r e a t i o n which symbolized
the type of v e g e t a t i o n which

and a type of p e c u l i a r c r e a t u r e
midway betwixt a c h i l d and a

name. Our membership i s around

look a t i t , some c h a r a c t e r s
from the dorms. We e l e c t e d an
executive, with yours t r u l y

do some thing. We organized a
few dances, and then they
sprung us with the Centenorama. "Work" progressed on
t h i s b u t a s the h i n t of impending f l o p drew near, executive
members dropped l i k e f l i e s .
Those of us who stuck i t out
saw our c e n t e n n i a l p r o j e c t
come out a b i g success. Bruce

Whit'oread ( a l l lowly junior

Darryl Armsworthy,
Races i n general were slowed down due t o t h e f a c t t h a t
many t e a c h e r s were purposely

The dance was a b i g success,
a t t r a c t i n g drunks and s o b e r i t e s
by t h e hundreds. For an hour
and a h a l f we heard records, then
t h e various a s s i s t a n c e groups presented t h e days awards. Then
