Options include BSc Equine Science, BSc Equine Management BSc Performance Management and BSc Equine Studies. Successful completion of the course allows students to enter industry at supervisory or managerial levels. Entry Qualifications You will normally possess either a BTEC Extended Diploma in Equine Management (or a related topic) at MPP level or higher, or 160 UCAS points from relevant A Level subjects. WHO IS THE COURSE FOR? WHAT UNITS WILL I STUDY? The course is for learners with existing Level 3 qualifications in Equine Management or related subjects, for example A Level Biology. This challenging course aims to produce students who will quickly aspire to managerial positions in the Equine Year 1 (HNC) HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT? You will be taught by experienced tutors supported by a dedicated yard team. Learning is achieved through a mixture of group and individual work, lectures, presentations, project work, practical horse handling, dissections, laboratory experiments, study trips and guest speakers. You will be expected to complete a substantial amount of home-study supported by outstanding online resources accessed through our virtual learning environment. WHAT CAREER OPPORTUNITIES ARE THERE? HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED? WILL I NEED ANY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS? Employment opportunities exist within industries such as nutrition, teaching , coaching equine studies. Traveling with the industry. Or a top up degree in equine dentistry, or physiotherapy.
