Dates of the semester must be respected.
Students should arrive at least one day before Orientation Week (third week of January).

*English B1: desirable but not mandatory.
The transcripts will be sent to the student exchange coordinator at your home university
about two weeks after the end of each semester.

Students must have health insurance coverage in Colombia during their stay, including
repatriation. Students must submit a copy of proof of insurance at the International Affairs
Office upon arrival.
La Salle University has no dormitories or students residences However; the IAO provides
student support in achieving the housing. The student may request accommodation database
to [email protected]. It is highly recommended that before hiring a housing service, for
the first days of stay, please book a hostel / hotel within the economic reach of student safety
and security. You can review hotels / hostels at www.booking.com or www.hoteles.com .
Housing: USD 300 – USD 550: Some places offer food, cleaning, laundry service –including
ironing. Food: USD 250, Transport USD 45. (Monthly based estimation)
By request and on the student: USD 17. However, the airport also has taxi service.

*Important: Student must process his/her visa at the closest consulate/embassy of his/her
country of origin or residence.
All students must pay an administrative fee, which is $ 100,000 COP (ONE HUNDRED

Bogota on behalf of the Universidad de La Salle. This procedure is performed on arrival. The
student must submit a copy of the receipt to the IAO.
INFORMACIÓN ADICIONAL
 Please be aware that we are only accepting applications sent through email. ([email protected] ).
 All students, including exchange students, have access to libraries of the university.
 The service of gym has a cost of $ 100 000 COP for the whole semester. This service will be available once the
student is fully registered. To register, the student must ask for the service through the webpage.
 Students should be informed that the processing of visa must be done on the country of origin or residence.
 Students should be informed that after entering the country, they must process a Foreign ID. Students will have
only 15 days upon arrival to process this immigration request. This formality is mandatory. For more
information about Foreing ID or Cedula de Extranjería, please review the following link: PROCESSING CÉDULA
DE EXTRANJERÍA. Students must bring with them (from home) all required documentation for the processing.
